VIDEO of the Week: Balmain Fall 2012
The French born rising star and stunning young man who once worked as a designer for Roberto Cavalli, is now the responsible for the prêt-a-porter collections of the creative studio chez la maison Balmain. Deeply inspired by the famous Fabergé egg that Richard Burton offered to Elizabeth Taylor, the designer combined the patterns, colors, brilliance, elegance, and luxurious materials intricate to this opulent piece with the androgynous classic spirit traditional of the fashion house.

It’s a case of love or hate; it’s the hot French chic! Military dresses, boxy tuxedo jackets, low-slung velvet pants adorned with thousands of pearls, crystals, gold and floral elements. Shocking yet sublime; classic yet cool. Now imagine this within a Baroque, golden ballroom of the Intercontinental Paris Grand Hotel… What an inspirational art and fashion show, don’t you agree?
