Holiday House NYC 2018 Moves to New Townhouse and Featured Designers Make Magic
The highly acclaimed Holiday House NYC opened its doors to the public on October 24th for the 2018 edition of its annual breast cancer awareness and fundraising show house. Set in a new luxurious, 13,000 square foot, eight-bedroom limestone townhouse on New York’s Upper East Side, this year’s team of uber talented design firms created a magnificent interior loosely inspired by “holiday” themes.
Founded by 21-year veteran breast cancer survivor Iris Dankner, Holiday House NYC donates all gala and ticket sales proceeds to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation and has become one of the City ’s leading interior design events.
For the first time this year, Holiday House NYC features fully “shoppable” rooms. Everything –
including furnishings, lighting, and accessories – from a living/dining room is available for sale on One Kings Lane. The house’s library serves as an on-site shopping experience with an array of 20th Century vintage furnishings, home décor and jewelry from Deluxe NYC.
In celebration of Breast Cancer Awareness Month and women’s empowerment, Holiday House has also launched a series of women-based/run initiatives and programs which include panel discussions and lectures, book signings, the debut of a new design podcast series, and a young designers’ event.
