Balmain Paris: In Love with Balmain

Balmain Paris Haute Couture SS19 - KOKET Geisha Chair

Love Happens is head over stilettos for the iconic French luxurious Balmain brand! Balmain Paris epitomizes elegance and class creating a unique mantra that it has kept since its founding. This brand holds a special place in our hearts due to the daring illustrations of feminism engraved through the essences of their lines. And for their endless creativity both in their designs and their retail store interiors.

Monsieur Pierre Balmain had a vision that has since created a distinctive grasp of femininity. Offering and pioneering advancements for feminine expression as well as diversity through fashion. We adore the embroidery, beauty in simplicity, and lavish designs that have been created in the past by Balmain. And love the designs by current creative director, Olivier Rousteing, during such an exciting time in fashion. A time that encourages expression and interpretation and gives voices to those who have a vision for bettering the world.

When you love something and you get some love in return it makes the love even stronger! Lh’s publisher, the luxury decor brand KOKET, had the great honor of its Geisha Chair sitting as close to center stage as we could ever imagine at Balmain’s Haute Couture show during Paris Haute Couture Week in January 2019! The show in it of itself was brilliant, nothing less than expected. We especially loved that Rousteing chose to work with a dear friend of KOKET’s, Anne Gelbard, for the collection. All those stunning watercoloresque textiles were hand painted by Anne Gelbard and her team!
