And this gorgeous residence explored here is a perfect example!
Nancy Davilman and ND Interiors
In 2003, Nancy embarked on a 14-month restoration of her century-old home in Westchester County’s Larchmont Manor. She devoted every day to being on-site. To learning the trades, the timeline, and the overall arc of a full-scale residential construction project. And when the project was completed. Nancy had not only renovated a beautiful home, but she’d also laid the foundation for ND Interiors, the full-service design house she established in 2012.
Since then she has created many beautiful homes. Including this serene design for which she won the 2018 Westchester Home Magazine’s award for Best Apartment.
Inside the Apartment
The homeowners for this tranquil apartment were a couple who met while living separately in the same luxury high rise. They began dating and ended up buying an apartment to live in together in the same building.

“The apartment was quite drab when they took possession of it. With the original kitchen completely closed off from the rest of the apartment and the amazing views,” said Nancy. “The homeowners had a very good idea of the type of look they wanted for the apartment which was comfortably modern, sophisticated, and unfussy.”
The Kitchen
First stop, the kitchen which went under a complete revamp to open it up to the views. “I worked with Sarah Robertson from Studio Dearborn to come up with the bright, white, high tech, sleek kitchen,” says Nancy. “We knew we didn’t want to have hardware so we used self-opening upper cabinetry. Most everything is hidden except for the Miele coffee station. A custom made metal hood anchors the kitchen.”

Some of the special elements in the kitchen are the glass and metal storage and display cabinet that acts as a bridge from the kitchen to the custom built-in dining nook which has spectacular views.

And we must mention the waterfall peninsula where one of the only bold pops of color throughout the space appears in a stunning pair of sky blue Nahema counter stools by our very own KOKET.

“My Clients loved to shop so we had a wonderful time searching for unique lighting pieces and furniture to make each room feel special,” said Nancy.
The Master Bedroom
Another highlight is the master bedroom suite. In this serene space a beautiful Stark carpet anchors the room beneath a custom upholstered bed.

Studio Dearborn fabricated the wardrobe. And the enchanting Eternity II chandelier by KOKET adds a touch of glamour and allure to the peaceful space!

The Bath
The bathroom has a spa-like vibe with its mosaic marble walls and custom cabinetry. A haven for wellness at home!
