What is your idea of perfect happiness?

Being with my family is my true happiness! I love nothing more than being with my husband and my boys. Being with my extended family, as well. We are such a tight-knit family and I am best friends with my sister and brother and their significant others. I feel so lucky to have such an incredibly loving, fun family!

What do you consider your greatest achievement?

My greatest achievement is being a mom to my two boys Cash and Lennon, and running my interior design business.

What profession does your alter ego have?

My alter ego profession is a real estate developer. I am obsessed with real estate and creating homes from the ground up!

The project you will never forget.

The project that I will never forget was a project that I did many years ago in the Bloomberg building. At the time, my client just launched a very successful hedge fund and bought a gorgeous apartment that he gave us free rein to design! It was a dream job to work on and the perfect client!

Your favorite business tool or resource.

Studio Webware is a tool in this industry that is a must! It helps streamline your accounting and tracking of everything ordered. People don’t realize how many items you need to purchase and track, and I don’t know what I would do without it!

The most timeless design.

When I think of timeless designs, I think of classic interiors and pieces that stand the test of time. Beautiful herringbone floors and classic designers such as Paul Paulin, Vladimir Kagan, Knoll, Hans Wegner, etc. These are pieces that will never go out of style in my book!

The biggest design faux pas.

Matchy-matchy! I still can’t believe that people buy “sets of furniture”. This is definitely a faux pas for me. You don’t want things to look like you did a one-stop-shop. I think it’s important to mix pieces in a space to add depth and richness.

Your design motto.

Don’t be ordinary… be extraordinary and never take no for an answer!

If you were to design a room around one KOKET piece, which would it be, and why?

If I were to choose a piece from Koket to design a room around, I would choose the “Cocktail chair”. I love the ruching details around the chair. It looks so cozy and inviting yet so chic and sophisticated. I also have a thing for chairs! I love that this is swivel as well!

Love happens when…

When you are truly happy and fulfilled when you love what you do for a living. Something that I engrave in my children from their very young ages 9 and 5, if you enjoy and love what you do… it will never feel like a job!
