A digital multi-entrepreneur, Lindsey Heppner’s constant drive to create the next unique idea has positioned her as an expert in the ever-changing digital media landscape. Lindsey’s first venture began in 2014 when she discovered a need in the market for managing influencers while also creating and producing social content and marketing campaigns. A need she set out to serve with VAMPPED. A business dedicated to curating one-of-a-kind events, strategic planning for brands in the market space, world-class content, public relations, and with a roster of top digital talent with far-reaching online audiences.

Then COVID-19 hit and travel paused meaning Lindsey needed to shift her business foundation. This led to ReVAMPPED TV, a business focused on elevating the current state of podcasting. With years of experience in podcasts, Lindsey created ReVAMPPED TV to provide a unique experience for creators, athletes, and celebrities to take control of their own brand and bring new light to the phrase ‘tell your story’.

Love Happens: As our name, and the tagline of our publisher KOKET denotes, at ‘Love Happens’ we are firm believers that you cannot achieve any level of success without love. When did your love affair with social media marketing and influencers begin? And how did it make you feel?

Lindsey Heppner: My love for social media happened in 2014 when I realized I could brand myself. It had completely changed the game for me and I realized I was able to create content without being tied to another job. I was finally able to create what I wanted without the restrictions of higher-up management saying I couldn’t do so.

It made me feel alive and free. I was able to break free from a cage, or a restricted box in the corporate world.

Lh: What empowers you?

Lindsey: As a woman, I feel empowered every day. It’s super essential for me always to be a good example for my friends, family, and co-workers. I feel most empowered when people say I can’t do something. I’ve always had a herd of people not in my corner, and that’s okay cause I love proving them wrong, which makes me feel at the end of the day like I have achieved the greatest hurdles.

Lh: What do you consider your greatest achievement?

Lindsey: My greatest achievement throughout this entire time of being in business has been the opportunity to look at myself and know that I have not changed my integrity, values, or my “truth” to win people over in this industry. I have worn no masks, nor have I traded in my soul to become successful, and I pride myself in that.

Lh: Who is Lindsey Heppner the Woman?

Lindsey: She has discernment, vulnerability, empathy, trustworthiness, honesty, loyalty, compassion, drive, happiness, humor, and courage.

Lh: Who is Lindsey Heppner the founder of VAMPPED?

Lindsey, the CEO of Vampped, is a big dreamer. She is effortlessly finding ways to make noise in the digital media space while keeping her focus on the competition out there. She is a risk-taker and is all about being transparent with her goals for the business.

I’ve always empowered women by not being fake to them.

Lh: How do you empower other women?

Lindsey: I’ve always empowered women by not being fake to them. I am honest about my relationships with them and truly support them, not just say it – I act it. I think that has always been the issue with women; they say they hold hands but don’t. Most women are super competitive, and if you are competitive, there is no room for love. I have noticed that if I love my women friends so much and happy to support their entire journey to success, there is no room to battle with them cause I want to see them at the top with me. If I sense any signs of fake love for me or competitiveness, I stay away cause there is no real love to see me lifted either.

Lh: What three pieces of advice would you give to a young woman starting her career?

  • Make sure to have a really solid support system, I mean really solid. You should always notice who you can tell your wins to. If you can’t tell your wins to your closest circle, you need to re-think starting your career because your support system will be the reason why you are successful.
  • Failure is not in your vocabulary. Insert, “learning”.
  • Repeat.Repeat.Repeat. Things never happened on anyone’s first try.

Lh: Do you have any mottos you like to live by? Or favorite empowering quotes?

Don’t chase love, money, or success. Become the best version of yourself, and those things will chase you.
