Meet Kimberly Coombs, founder of KBCO Design in the Lh Design Questionnaire

What is your idea of perfect happiness?
Spending time with my family in laughter.
What do you consider your greatest achievement?
My daughter.
What profession does your alter ego have?
A naturopath, or allied professional that focuses on creating the best version of yourself through healthy living.
The project you will never forget.
Versailles. It’s a 90,000-square-foot residence in Orlando, Florida that’s the subject of a new TV show, The Queen of Versailles Reigns Again.

Your favorite business tool or resource.
My smartphone – I always have it on me, and it has enabled me to do my job much more efficiently. It’s fast and easy to answer questions quickly, review responses, without having to take time out for meetings – it’s truly an efficient device.
The most timeless design.
Mid-Century Modern. I love how it combines modern, clean lines with warm, natural materials and palettes.

The biggest design faux pas.
Hanging artwork too high.
Your design motto.
Details matter.
Our publisher KOKET makes statement décor, if you were to design a room around one KOKET piece, which would it be, and why?
This was a hard choice because of the breadth and depth of beautiful choices! The Nymph Chandelier truly stood out to me for its combination of luxurious gold finish, metal as the material but whimsical butterflies as the subject. It’s delicate but made of metal and that juxtaposition could truly inspire a fantastic room!
Love happens when….
We finish a job, and the client is happy. Oh, you mean for me? When the timing is right 🙂
