What is your idea of perfect happiness?
I’d say a cup of fresh coffee and bidding on online antique furniture auctions. I live for the thrill, love seeing what unexpected things I can find, and nothing hits better than the first sip of coffee! Either that or pool time with my kids, husband, and dog on a sunny Los Angeles day.
What do you consider your greatest achievement?
In January I took a 10-week intensive stand-up comedy course that ended with a live stand-up show. It was such a challenge and one of the hardest things I’ve done, but it was so thrilling and rewarding to perform my set at the end and make the audience laugh! It was also so refreshing to try out a new skill. I had never done any sort of acting or performance, and it was a difficult process, but I’m so happy I did it.

What profession does your alter ego have?
A detective or private investigator. I’m good at finding almost anything – especially when it comes to furniture!
The project you will never forget.
We had just gotten the keys at 2:00 PM to our new house after closing and had to get in fast, so we were making moves to renovate efficiently and quickly. We scheduled our electrician to come at 3:00 PM the same day to start adding electrical boxes for the sconces above the bench in our living room. After an hour of owning the house, he cut the waterline for the exterior hose causing a massive flood on the newly refinished floors! It was so sad, but also comical looking back on it. Since real hardwood floors need a couple of months of drying time before they can be refinished again, we couldn’t fix the floors until much later. They refinished the floors the day I went into labor with my first child! Luckily, they had put all the furniture back by the time we came home from the hospital.

Your favorite business tool or resource.
I love InShot to make reels and videos for my business; it’s another creative outlet for me! And super fun. I also couldn’t live without Ivy, my online design project management system! And, of course, my team!
The most timeless design.
Using real raw materials, like stone or a gorgeous piece of wood. Nature never goes out of style!

The biggest design faux pas.
Not honoring your true style.
Your design motto.
Everyone should live in their dream home. (And right now – pastels all day!)

Our publisher KOKET makes statement décor. If you were to design a room around one KOKET piece, which would it be, and why?
The Myth Coffee Table. It’s epically glamorous. It’s bold, minimalist, and uses its sleek metal finish to make a pop. It would work with any color or fabric choice, and even though it’s bold, it is so versatile!
Love happens when…
You least expect it.
