September may be one of the most beautiful times to visit Paris! Summer tourism has slowed, but the weather is not yet Fall. And if you love beauty, in September in Paris, you will find it beyond the city’s stunning landscape, robust museums, and exquisite fashion scene as Paris Design Week fuses itself throughout the urban center and across the country with France Design Week. Taking place alongside the world-renowned home decor trade show Maison & Objet, this year’s Paris Design Week and its fabulous lineup of events runs from September 7-16, 2023.

Think Pink by Uchronia

Like a summer evening breeze, architecture firm Uchronia settles in the orangery of the Hôtel de Sully for PDW 23. A radiant, colorful atmosphere showcasing their exquisite furniture and textile designs spreads from room to room. The decor an ode to traditional French know-how and a whimsical dreamland.

Poésies métalliques
September 5 – 28, 2023
A visit to see interior architect and designer Raphaël Campagnari’s art will require a trip outside Paris to Burgandy, which, of course, will be well worth it! Raphaël transforms sheets of raw steel into functional and poetic objects by cutting and folding simple geometric shapes that he calls a-typo. His work will be on display at the beautiful Villars-et-Villenotte commune.

“FEU!” by Meet Met Met

The MEET MET MET collective presents its first exhibition, “FEU!”, where 20 designers from the new generation explore the ashtray object in all its forms. For Paris Design Week, MEET MET MET proposes an eclectic event that reveals the stylistic richness of the invited designers around this object. The scenography, mirroring the chosen theme, presents each artwork on wooden pedestals, partially consumed by flames.

For the first time, the Galeries Lafayette Champs-Elysées opens the doors of the former boardroom of the First National City Bank as part of the exhibition “Lost Paradise” by Marianna Ladreyt and Mathilde Gullaud. Invited to design the space, the artist duo proposed a colorful, offbeat, and imaginative universe. “Like a meteorite washed up in the heart of the Department Store, a new ecosystem has developed. A fantasy and fantastic universe coming to seize the existing.”

La Galerie de Pierre Marie
Since its 2018 opening, Pierre Marie’s Gallery has showcased one exhibition a year. These exhibitions are where Pierre Marie creates unique decorative ensembles that consist of art and small furnishings. For 2023, Pierre Marie and Dimore Gallery revive the story of L’Amateur de Parfum in a tapestry, stained glass folding screen, custom rugs, and hand-blown glass objects.
