Architectural Digest started in America and was originally called “A Pictorial Digest of California’s Best Architecture” and it was a truly serious design magazine, focused on architecture and on the trade involved. Ever since the magazine has suffered significant changes, mostly in the last few years.
Not wanting to be left behind in this race, the charming AD adapted its image and structure to the trends of today, becoming more and more consumer friendly. Even on the cover you can notice a great change from the old to the actual one – images with bigger quality and topics are more interesting and current. Are you still there? AD always followed very closely the big celebrities and their opulent mansions. If you just look at the amount of issues that the magazine has dedicated to Hollywood celebrities you will be amazed. Singers, dancers, character actors, directors, producers, talk-show hosts and the most legendary of stars have opened their doors to the magazine over the decades.
