Late designer Alberto Pinto was born in Casablanca, Morocco, in 1943. Inspired by diverse cultural influences and born to globetrotting, Argentine parents, the legendary design connoisseur attended the renowned Ecole de Louvre in Paris to study world cultures and art history, before traveling to New York City. His time in the United States proved transformational, where he established a unique photo agency with a distinct focus on the art of architecture and decoration.
His love of photography drove a newfound passion for interior design, following various photo shoots with Condé Nast and House & Gardens as well as work with highly regarded architect Luis Baragan and respected designer David Hicks in both England and India. Many of Alberto Pinto‘s travels stirred his exotic taste for eclectic global design. His time in Mexico gave him a profound appreciation of the power of color, while his ventures in Italy deepened his rich understanding in all realms of design.
Alberto Pinto put his talents to the test when he decided to personally design the interior of his New York City apartment. His work earned considerable praise, priming him to launch his own interior design firm in Paris, where Alberto thought only the best and most skillful artisans and craftsmen should practice their work. The establishment of Alberto Pinto Interior Design was a huge turning point in Alberto’s career. His design firm quickly took off, gaining prominent recognition for the visionary’s ability to combine luxury and comfort, uncommon for opulent spaces.

His interiors were refined yet extraordinary, and striking in their differences. Alberto Pinto’s creations were lavished, but spaces varied from minimalistic to abundant.

Six years later, Linda and her design team have continued to honor the iconic artist with the same passion, energy, and imagination that Alberto demonstrated every day, and what made Alberto Pinto Interior Design flourish in the design world.
