Because of the world reknown Miami Design week, this city was chosen to be our premiere.
Miami is most commonly known for the TV shows…but today we are going to a different look… The KOKET’s look… Situated in the state of Florida, Miami is the 44th most populated city in the entire US…Why? Well the warm and exotic climate can´t hurt…
So where can you escape to from the hot steamy sun?
In Miami are situated some of the world’s magnificent sores and brands.
The Webster, owned by Laure Heriard Dubreuil and Milan Vukmirovic brought to Miami’s fashionistas the ultimate high-fashion boutique with their 20,000-square-foot concept store: The Webster. Here you can expect to find pieces from brands like Alaïa, Lanvin and Balenciaga, and don’t be surprised if you end up being Beyoncé dressing neighbour. The Webster is without a doubt a must go!
Curve, founded by Nevena Borissova, is a particular spot well known for attracting locals and international visitors for its perfectly curated assortment of luxury goods from the best designers in the game.
Oxygene Boutique by Felix and Shayne Cohen had the vision to introduce the Parisian street-chic to the Miami market and since 1983 so they did! The boutique, located on the second floor of the world-renowned Bal Harbour Shops, carries brands that include Isabel Marant, Nicholas Kirkwood, Phillip Lim and Nina Ricci.
Meals are, according to the experts, the most important thing of the day…But we can do it in style can’t we?
Tosca, this magnificent restaurant specializes in extra high-quality ingredients and rare delicacies from around the world such as blue lobster, hand-pitted olive oil and white truffles. Sounds good right? Just wait until you know that true Kobe Ribeye from Japan and Pink Dorade fly in daily from Europe! While the menu is pure luxury the space is amazingly decorated and opens to an extraordinary garden and intentionally Felliniesque.
Toro Toro, a concept restaurant imported from Dubai, small Latin-inspired plates, specialty cocktails and endless meat are what you are assured to find. Meat is served “rodizio-style” and sourced from a boutique producer in Nebraska while cocktails are always ultra-premium and overflowing. But save some space for churros with buttermilk ice cream and apricot compote. They will surely keep you coming back.
South Street, owned by Amaris Jones and Miami Restaurateur Amir Ben Zion this spectacular place toke its name from the famous strip in Philadelphia, South Street. This is a neo-soul food experience with dishes such as Smothered Turkey Chops, Shrimp and Grits and spiked teas. Upstairs you can find a lounge featuring live music and DJ that get almost as much praise as the food!
Well it can´t all be parties…
Eden Roc Renaissance, what do you think about a 750-square-foot room located on the top floor of the hotel with impressive views of Miami’s tropical beaches? Art BASEL, Art Basel Miami Beach is a cultural and social highlight and the most important art show in the US. It’s sister event in Switzerland’s Art Basel, is the most prestigious art show worldwide for the past 43 years, Art Basel Miami Beach combines an international selection of top galleries with an exciting program of special exhibitions, parties and crossover EVENTS featuring music, film, architecture and design. Exhibition sites are located in the city’s beautiful Art Deco District, within walking distance of the beach and many hotels.
Miami Design, this Internationally renowned global forum for design brings together the most influential collectors, gallerists, designers, curators and critics from around the world in celebration of design culture and commerce. The fair ended at 9 of December and brought countless professional contacts. A fashion statement fair for sure!
Art Miami, known as Miami’s premiere art fair, Art Miami kicks off the opening day of Art Week – the first week of December taking advantage from the thousands of collectors, dealers, curators, and artists descend upon Miami. World-famous for its stylish gallery-like decor, its extraordinary variety and outstanding quality, Art Miami showcases the best in modern and contemporary art from 100 international art galleries and prominent art institutions.
