Simply put, water allows you to cleanse your palate and allows you to fully taste each wine separately.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">While a palate cleanser like a sorbet may seem like a good idea, anything with a flavor can taint the flavor of the wine you are tasting.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-no-candles-or-flowers\"><strong>No Candles or Flowers<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Flowers and candles are common at parties, especially during the Summer and at night, but once again, they can taint the flavor of the wine.
