WHAT IS YOUR PRESENT STATE OF MIND?<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Focused and forward-thinking. I carry a sense of urgency almost every day\u2014like time is always running out and there\u2019s still so much more to do, more to build, more to become. But I\u2019m also grounded by purpose and passion. That balance is what keeps me moving.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

WHAT IS YOUR IDEA OF PERFECT HAPPINESS?<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

For me, perfect happiness is found in love and presence\u2014being with my children, my husband, my family, and close friends. It\u2019s also when I see a vision come to life in our work. When a space we\u2019ve created changes how someone lives and how they feel, that\u2019s real fulfillment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

WHAT IS YOUR GREATEST EXTRAVAGANCE?<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Time for myself and my family. It\u2019s the one thing I fight hardest to protect, and yet it\u2019s the easiest to lose in a busy life. Those uninterrupted moments of connection feel like true luxury.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

YOUR BEVERAGE OF CHOICE<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

I used to rely on a strong black coffee every morning to kick-start my day. But after Ramadan, I always come out feeling stronger and more in tune with what my body and mind really need. I\u2019ve been consciously stepping away from the habits that hold me back, and caffeine is one of them. My focus now is on what serves my long-term clarity, health, and growth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

WHICH WORDS OR PHRASES DO YOU MOST OVERUSE?<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThere\u2019s not enough time,\u201d \u201cWe can do this,\u201d and \u201cHow can we make it better?\u201d I live with a constant feeling that time is short\u2014that there\u2019s always more we could be doing. But that\u2019s also what drives me. I\u2019m always looking for ways to elevate what we\u2019re doing, to refine, to grow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

WHAT DO YOU CONSIDER YOUR GREATEST ACHIEVEMENT?<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

My resilience. I built Celine Interior Design from nothing, through criticism, challenge, and doubt. Every step of the way, I\u2019ve had to push through things that could have broken me. Today, we\u2019re one of the top 50 companies in the UK and have grown into an international brand\u2014but it\u2019s the strength it took to get here that I\u2019m proudest of.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

IF YOU WERE TO DIE AND COME BACK AS A PERSON OR A THING, WHAT WOULD IT BE?<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Something that never stops moving forward\u2014like a bird that\u2019s always climbing higher, no matter the wind. Always adapting, always growing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

WHAT IS YOUR GREATEST REGRET?<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

I try not to dwell on regret\u2014it steals energy from the present. But if I had to name one, it would be not trusting my instincts sooner. I\u2019ve learned that your inner voice is your most powerful compass if you listen to it early enough.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

WHAT PROFESSION DOES YOUR ALTER EGO HAVE?<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Definitely a fashion designer\u2014or a singer. I\u2019ve always loved beautiful clothes and the craft behind them. I also love music and the freedom that comes with expressing emotion through voice. Both art forms tell stories, and I\u2019ve always been drawn to storytelling through beauty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

THE PROJECT YOU WILL NEVER FORGET?<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

A client in London who loved gold\u2014really loved it. The challenge was turning that love into something elegant, artistic, and still deeply personal. We worked very closely with them to strike that perfect balance. The result was not only beautiful but also completely unique to them, and that\u2019s when design really succeeds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

WHAT IS YOUR DREAM FETISH?<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Fine details. I\u2019m obsessed with how things come together\u2014how materials meet, how light hits a texture, the emotion a space evokes. The deeper you go into the details, the more magic you create.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

THE MOST TIMELESS DESIGN.<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Design that is built around people. When you design for someone\u2019s lifestyle, not for trends, the result is naturally timeless. It reflects who they are, and that never goes out of style.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

YOUR FAVORITE DESIGNER.<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

I\u2019m inspired by designers who are bold enough to stay true to themselves\u2014those who don\u2019t follow trends but create something meaningful and lasting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

YOUR FAVORITE DECADE.<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

The 1920s and 30s for their elegance, structure, and sense of craftsmanship. And the 1970s for its bold spirit and fearless experimentation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

YOUR CONTEMPORARY MUSE OR INSPIRATION.<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Women who lead with strength and vulnerability. Those who build something real while still nurturing their families, their teams, and themselves. They are my inspiration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

YOUR HISTORICAL MUSE OR ICON.<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

While I deeply admire Coco Chanel for breaking boundaries in fashion and redefining what women could do creatively and commercially, the person who resonates even more profoundly with me is Zaha Hadid. She wasn\u2019t just a visionary in architecture\u2014she was a force who broke through a world that, for far too long, didn\u2019t make space for women, let alone Arab women. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

As an Iraqi-born, Arab female designer, I see her not only as a pioneer but as someone who redefined what was possible for people like me. Her legacy reminds us that brilliance has no borders, and her presence in the world still challenges the narrow definitions of success and influence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In today\u2019s shifting landscape, where we are finally broadening the icons we look up to, her story is one I hold close\u2014powerful, relevant, and deeply inspiring. And if legacy matters\u2014and I believe it does\u2014then the most important thing about it is not just what you build or achieve, but who you inspire to keep going after you. To me, the true measure of legacy is having people who live beyond you tell your story because it became part of their own.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

THE DESIGN FAUX PAS YOU CAN TOLERATE MOST.<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

A bit of over-accessorising. If it\u2019s done with intention and joy, it can still bring personality to a space.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

THE DESIGN FAUX PAS YOU CAN TOLERATE LEAST.<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Spaces designed just to look good, with no thought for how they\u2019ll be lived in. A beautiful room that doesn\u2019t support the lifestyle of the person in it isn\u2019t good design. Function and soul have to come first.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

YOUR DESIGN MOTTO.<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Know the rules. Then break them\u2014if it means doing something better. Design is about courage.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

WHAT WILL YOUR LEGACY BE?<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

A legacy of purpose-driven design. I want the homes we\u2019ve created to continue improving people\u2019s lives long after we\u2019ve left. And I want young women\u2014especially those who\u2019ve had to fight for their dreams\u2014to know it\u2019s possible. You can build something extraordinary if you stay relentless and true.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

WHAT’S NEXT?<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

I\u2019m growing my team, scaling the business internationally, and refining how we design so we can have even more impact. I\u2019m still just getting started\u2014there\u2019s always more to create, and always someone new to serve.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
