At Love Happens<\/em>, we love to show you the most luxury hotels in the world, so we could not wait to share the newest one in Oporto, Vila Foz Hotel & Spa. Set on the finest avenue in Oporto, Vila Foz is a 68-room hotel that embodies an intimate, contemporary boutique experience. Acclaimed designer Nini Andrade Silva created the visual concept of the hotel, and Miguel Caradoso Arquitecto was responsible for the restoration and the creation of the new-build extension.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The key to the overall concept was to preserve the historical essence of the property. The architects retained the original architectural features while offsetting them with fresh details, finishes, materials, and textures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n

All of the guest rooms are an authentic expression of Nini Andrade Silva’s design DNA, from the bespoke screen-printed rugs to the custom-designed furniture. Natural wood and stone contrast beautifully with mirrors and glass. They are all highlighted by meticulously placed lighting that lends rooms an air of majesty and luxurious comfort.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n

Nini Andrade Silva has transformed the 19th-century Manor House into a beacon of warmth and intimacy. The designer used a varied and inspired material selection that includes technical stone, hydraulic mosaic and bronze. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
