Chiseled stone and marble exterior \u2014 a brilliant example of post-war architecture designed by the pioneer architect Prokopis Vasiliadis in the early 1960s; a true classic and modern interior, an indoor sanctuary featuring the great outdoors \u2014 designed by the prominent painter Yannis Moralis and his partner, the ceramist Eleni Vernardaki. Starring some of the best mixologists in the world; guests enjoy exquisite drinks with unique combinations that make taste buds dance. Dionysos Zonars is the perfect setting for the kick-off evening of Miranda and her girlfriends’ getaway in Athens. And new beginnings for Candice who discovers she is in need of some female empowerment!<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Long dirty blond locks of hair grace Miranda’s shoulders, her dreamy greenish-blue eyes intently gaze at the menu as she points at the various drinks with her shiny French tipped nails. She is stunning at 5\u20197″, 130 pounds of slim, but curvy femininity wrapped in an all-white Burberry scarf tie dress. Her presence is enticing, and men never hesitate to make advances no matter how inconvenient. She is a 10 and she knows it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cExcuse me, ma\u2019am. Can I offer you a drink?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Miranda\u2019s head remains buried in the menu. \u201cI\u2019m married, no thank you.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The man chuckles. \u201cMa\u2019am my name is Alec and I am your waiter.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Miranda\u2019s cheeks became a rosy red while she lifts her head slowly attempting to save face. \u201cWell, you should have stated that from the beginning. I won\u2019t be ready to order until my friends get here.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAbsolutely, ma\u2019am. I will come back when they arrive.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Miranda mumbles to herself. \u201cUghhh so unprofessional\u2026\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Miranda feels a tap on her shoulder and turns around to see her bestie, Brooke. \u201cHey Randa!\u201d screams Brooke. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Brooke doesn’t give Miranda an opportunity to get up before nearly knocking her out of her chair to embrace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cHello Brooke! Please be careful darling, I just had this dress steamed last night. It can\u2019t afford a wrinkle.\u201d Miranda stares at Brooke\u2019s attire with confusion. \u201cNow sweetie, what is this ensemble I see you wearing?”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Brooke looks down at her outfit as if she forgot what she was wearing. \u201cOh, this? Just something I put together.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Miranda squints cocking her head to the side to better examine Brooke\u2019s florescent yellow outfit. \u201cI see that. It looks like you brought the sun in the room.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Brooke has a unique sense of fashion, but she is one of a kind. She too turns heads often, but not just for her beauty, also for her loud personality and loud clothing. She appears racially ambiguous but is a proud daughter to a Haitian and Mexican mother and an Italian father.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Brooke finally takes a seat but not before doing a mini dance. \u201cWell, you look great Randa! And this place is like\u2026.like\u2026some sort of magical kingdom, it\u2019s awesome!”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cYes, it is! Are you sure you haven\u2019t had anything already? You seem very energetic even for you.\u201d Miranda inquires jokingly. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cGirl, please. I am just high off life. I am here with my\ngirls in a beautiful place with beautiful drinks\u2026.oh yeah\u2026.and beautiful men.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAbsolutely!\u201d Miranda high-fives\u2019 Brooke. \u201cExcept for the men part, I only have eyes for Daniel.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Brooke rolls her eyes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI thought you and Candice came in together.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Brooke shakes her head. \u201cOh, we did, but she\u2019s on the phone\nagain.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cOh.\u201d Miranda lets out a big sigh.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Miranda quickly perks up in her seat, \u201cOh, there she is!\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Brooke flairs her arms in the air trying to gesture Candice\ntowards the right table. \u201cOver here! Over here!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cSweetie she hears you and sees you, trust me,\u201d Miranda reassures Brooke.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In walks Candice with her cell phone pressed tightly to the side of her head and a huge purse hanging from her right side. Her golden-red hair in a simple up-do, her chandelier style Chopard earrings sway from left to right as she casually walks towards the table.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cOkay little princess, mommy loves you. Muuuuuwahhh. Love you. Bye-bye.\u201d Candice hangs up the phone and approaches the empty seat oblivious to the fact that her girlfriends are intently staring at her.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cHey Candice!\u201d Miranda breaks the silence before leaving her seat to embrace Candice for almost a full 30 seconds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Brooke breaks up the reunion. \u201cDamn, Miranda let her breathe! She\u2019s not going anywhere.\u201d Brooke then whispers to Candice loud enough for Miranda to hear. \u201cShe\u2019s only excited you\u2019re here cause she\u2019s ready to drink.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Brooke and Candice share giggles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cSweetie, we all know you\u2019re the only one that can\u2019t go through a weekend without an Amaretto Sour.” All the women burst into laughter. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cOk, ladies once again I want to apologize. You know my baby comes first,\u201d Candice states.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Brook responds. \u201cWe get it and we understand that you\u2019re a\nmother, but you\u2019re finally out on the time of your life. This should be about\nyou for once.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Miranda shook her head in agreement. \u201cYou\u2019re a great mother\nCandice, but you\u2019ve got to be okay with taking time out for yourself.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Candice looks genuinely puzzled. \u201cI\u2019m sorry, what are you all talking about? I\u2019m here, far away from home with you all and not with my daughter. It\u2019s only natural to call and check-in.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cYes, it\u2019s natural to check-in, but for an hour and thirty minutes, you could have planned your daughter\u2019s sweet sixteen and her wedding. Besides what does a five-year-old need to talk about in that time besides Sesame Street!?” Brooke states in a sarcastic tone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cHa Ha very funny\u2026..I\u2019ll have you know that my daughter enjoys long conversations very much,” Candice insists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Miranda puts up the time out sign. \u201cLadies\u2026ladies\u2026. we came\nhere to relax and try some of the best cocktails in Athens. Who\u2019s ready to\norder?\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The women raise their hands in unison.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And sip they do, around the clock. The Sangria Y Arena, the Jenna Said, and the Tear Drop; all are delightful drinks on Dionysos Zonars menu with unique distinct flavors that call for seconds. The ladies compliment their drinks with a signature dessert.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

30 minutes later\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cLadies, what shall we toast too?\u201d asks Miranda<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI say to great men!\u201d shouts Brooke.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWell, I say we toast to my wonderful daughter,\u201d adds Candice<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Miranda and Brooke both look at each other before rolling their eyes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cOk sweeties, I say let\u2019s toast to great friendship!\u201d Miranda declares. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cGreat friendship!\u201d the women state in unison.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAnd what do great friends do for each other?\u201d Brooke asks. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cFind their great friend a new job.\u201d Miranda answers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Candice finally catches wind of the conversation. \u201cNo\u2026.no\nguys, no thank you. I\u2019m perfectly fine where I am.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Brooke takes another sip. \u201cYou\u2019re fine working for that\npathetic chauvinistic bastard that doesn\u2019t respect you?!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Candice sighs. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cSweetie, you really do deserve better. He is taking advantage of your kindness. You are his executive assistant, not his personal assistant.\u201d Miranda adds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Brooke takes another sip. \u201cMore like his personal slave\u201d \u2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cHe\u2019s not that bad\u2026..he\u2019s just busier than usual and\nstressed out about the business.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Brooke and Miranda became very quiet exchanging glances and cautiously sipping from their glasses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cLook, Candice\u2026..\u201d Brooke starts slowly. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Miranda looks at Brooke sternly. \u201cBrooke, no!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Candice becomes nervous. \u201cWhat\u2019s going on you all?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Brooke looks cautiously at Miranda like a child about to disobey their parent. \u201cUm\u2026.um\u2026..the doctor says I might have hemorrhoids.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cHemorrhoids Brooke\u2026. really?\u201d Miranda stares at Brooke and\nshakes her head then turns to Candice.\n\u201cSweetie-your-boss-is-going-to-let-you-go.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

 Candice replies slowly. \u201cWhat do you mean\u2026..how do you know that?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe heard him.\u201d Brooke and Miranda say in unison. Miranda continues, \u201cIt was three weeks ago. We stopped by your job to surprise you, but we didn\u2019t know you were already out on lunch. We passed right by Mr. Stein\u2019s office and we heard everything. He said\u2026.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Brooke jumps in quickly. \u201cHe said he would prefer to hire Robie to replace you\u2014whoever that is, but we know he\u2019s a male\u2014\u2026\u2026and that he doesn\u2019t want to deal with a female assistant. He said he would be willing to pay him 20 percent more to ensure he gets your position.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Candice begins to speak softly while staring at the table. \u201cWhat!?\u2026\u2026 I asked him three months ago for a raise. He said it wasn\u2019t in the budget.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All of a sudden Candice\u2019s face changes from sadness to smiling sinisterly. \u201cWell\u2026\u2026I already got him good.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n

\"white<\/a><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n\n\n

\u201cOooo details girl\u2026\u2026\u201d Brooke leans in from her chair. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWell\u2026..the other day\u2026..when I ordered his lunch\u2026..\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cUh-huh\u201d Miranda also leans in. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201c\u2026..I forgot to order mayonnaise on his turkey sandwich\u2026..so\nhe was one unhappy camper\u2026\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cUhhhhhhhhh\u2026\u2026.\u201d Brooke is lost for words. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Miranda lightly kicks Brooke under the table to stop her awkward expression. \u201cOh yes girl, you showed him! Isn\u2019t that right Randi?”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Miranda smiles from ear to ear. \u201cCandice, consider this a new beginning for you! Let\u2019s celebrate\u2026. we will celebrate your resignation\u2026.next round is on me! Excuse me\u2026waiter.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Brooke looks over at Candice. \u201cWait, I thought all the rounds were on her. How many drinks did I have?”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Candice laughs and shrugs her shoulders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The women enjoy another round of their favorite cocktail. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cSweeties, I would like to have one final toast,\u201d Miranda announces with her glass in the air and her pinky fully extended. \u201cThis toast is for every woman\u2026\u2026. who has been underpaid\u2026..underappreciated\u2026\u2026misrepresented and most importantly not treated as equal by men who believe\u2026\u2026”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Brooke interrupts. \u201cNot all men\u2026\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI didn\u2019t say all darling. What I\u2019m trying to say\nis\u2026..gender equality all around!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The women raise their glasses and state in unison. \u201cGender equality all around!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n
