While spending extra time at home, take time to understand your wardrobe: what is missing, what do you need and what don&#8217;t you need. It might seem easy but think about how would you like to display your clothes. And most important, don&#8217;t leave anything behind. Otherwise, you&#8217;ll never finish this task. You&#8217;ll always leave it for tomorrow, and tomorrow will never come. Let&#8217;s go and see how to organize your closet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" style=\"text-align:center\"><strong><em>How to Organize Your\u00a0Closet<\/em><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Separate Your Clothes<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As the storage specialist Marie Kondo says, we should only keep in our house the things that bring us happiness. Take all, really ALL of your clothes and put them on the floor or on your bed. Preferentially, start separating them: dresses, t-shirts, sweaters, pants, skirts, tops. This is also the time where you start to separate what you&#8217;re going to keep and what you&#8217;re going to donate. You&#8217;ll probably think of giving up during this phase, but continue on, I promise you&#8217;ll be happy in the end! <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The idea here is to totally reinvent your wardrobe. With extra time on your hands, you can create lots of looks with different pieces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"text-align:center\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.lovehappensmag.com\/blog\/2019\/08\/27\/fashion-trends-that-never-go-out-of-style\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\">Fashion Trends that Never Go Out of Style<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Sort Your Clothes by Color and Material<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Now that you have separated all your clothes, start to put them in your closet or armoire. Tip: Separate them by color and material. It will not only be appealing to see but also easier to create the look you want.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On the shelves: fold the pieces into rectangles, arranging them as you usually see in stores, placing them side by side, organized by color and piece type.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bykoket.com\/campaigns\/2020\/casegoods-2020-spring-trends-ebook.php?utm_source=lovehappensmag.com&amp;utm_medium=banner_lh&amp;utm_campaign=ebook_casegoods\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.lovehappensmag.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/ext-campaign\/article\/kk-spring-trends-750.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After the shelves, start hanging pieces &#8211; separate tops and bottoms. Then, from the lightest tones to the darkest and the prints. You probably have empty boxes around the house, from old presents, so it&#8217;s time to put them to use. If you don&#8217;t have any, there are plenty of online stores that sell them. As you did with your clothes, separate them by categories, sunglasses, hats, headbands, jewelry, belts. When you finished, put each category inside a box.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After everything is inside a box, find some empty shelf space for the boxes. Place them on the shelves and Voil\u00e1! You can see them all organized.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Don&#8217;t forget during these hard times to focus on really selecting what you like and what you will use.
