The time of year where birds sing the loudest and flowers bloom in their various brilliant colors. It\u2019s picturesque, almost reminiscent of a Rembrandt painting. Yet in all its seasonal splendor, reminders of the times are prevalent in the form of masks and gloves. COVID-19 quarantine has canceled the plans of three besties who want nothing more than to be together at this moment. Luckily, one of them has an idea. <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Candice sat at her desk in the corner of her bedroom with both legs propped up and crossed. Her laptop to the right and her burnt orange nail polish to the left. She had just polished her pinkie toe when she spotted a mosquito out of the corner of her eye. \u201cEek, get away get away! She swatted feverishly at it causing her to lose balance and fall backward in her chair projecting both legs in the air. Still focused on the mosquito\u2019s whereabouts she didn\u2019t immediately recognize the sounds of laughter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Brooke and Miranda joined the virtual Zoom meeting just in time to see Candice \u201cspread eagle\u201d on the floor. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Brooke attempted to catch her breath between the laughter. \u201cCan-Can-Candice\nwhat-the-hell-are you doing?! Is there something you want to tell me?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Miranda giggled covering her mouth. \u201cI know everyone has been a little bored lately\u2026.but\u2026you feelin\u2019 ok hun?&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Candice now seated right side up fluffs her peach-colored\nfrilly top. \u201cHa, ha. Very funny. You all would have reacted the same way if a\nmosquito was coming for your face.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Miranda shakes her head playfully. \u201cA mosquito\u2014I should have known.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWell, if you didn\u2019t kill it I\u2019m sure you scared it off. Those purple granny panties are like kryptonite.\u201d Brooke added before she and Miranda belly laughed. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cYes sweetie, please tell me why you don\u2019t have any bottoms\non?\u201d Miranda asks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Candice begins. \u201cWell, I\u2026.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Brooke interrupts. \u201cOk guys, I\u2019ve almost finished my drink. Let\u2019s talk about these cocktails we made. We can discuss Candice\u2019s bedroom escapades later.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Brooke laid across her snuggly burgundy sofa dangling her legs over the pillows with her iPad in hand. Burgundy and white drapes hung in her living room. Tall umbrella plants encompassed the corners of the room and two dimly lit sconces sat on opposite ends of a huge mirror. Her face beat with violet eye shadow and a soft natural lip sporting a green spaghetti strap jumper gave \u201cdressing down\u201d a run for its money.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Miranda held her glass up to the camera. \u201cOk, I guess I\u2019ll\nstart!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Her white lace embroidered V-neck had not one wrinkle and her loose updo allowed her recently curled locks of hair to nestle her face.&nbsp;Her living room was winter white from her coffee table to her sphere chandelier and her new Spellbound bar cabinet by KOKET.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bykoket.com\/guilty-pleasures\/casegoods\/spellbound-bar-cabinet.php?utm_source=KKMarch2020&amp;utm_medium=slider&amp;utm_content=campaign&amp;utm_campaign=&amp;utm_campaign=Spellbound-BarCabinet\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"710\" height=\"941\" src=\"https:\/\/www.lovehappensmag.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/spellbound-bar-cabinet-1.1.jpg\" alt=\"spellbound bar cabinet by koket - white bar with gold floral accents - quarantine cocktails - koktails with koket\" class=\"wp-image-45215\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.lovehappensmag.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/spellbound-bar-cabinet-1.1.jpg 710w, https:\/\/www.lovehappensmag.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/spellbound-bar-cabinet-1.1-226x300.jpg 226w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 710px) 100vw, 710px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Candice finally gives her full attention to the live video. \u201cMiranda,\nhow in the world do you manage to keep your all-white furniture spotless all\nyear round? I mean every time I see it; I\u2019m amazed.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Brooke chuckles. \u201cI\u2019ll tell you how. She never lets anyone\nsit down or touch anything. Last time I was there, I felt like I was in a\npresidential museum.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Miranda smirks at Brooke before taking a sip of a pinkish drink in a Y-shaped glass with a lime twist garnish.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWeeeellll, you know how I\u2019ve been raving about my new Spellbound bar cabinet from that fabulous Portuguese decor brand KOKET? I decided to create a new cocktail in its honor. I call it the Koket Koktail! Miranda held her glass high as if she was presenting a trophy. &nbsp;Not the easiest drink to make, but so worth the effort! Start with <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"Dorothy Parker Gin (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nydistilling.com\/spirits\" target=\"_blank\">Dorothy Parker Gin<\/a>, any gin will do but Dorothy Parker is from the New York Distilling Company and it&#8217;s soooooo good! Add lime juice, hibiscus simple syrup, and dry Prosecco. And voila!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"text-align:center\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.lovehappensmag.com\/blog\/2020\/05\/20\/the-best-cocktails-to-make-at-home\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\">The Best Cocktails to Make at Home<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cMmm tasty, that kind of drink would get me in a lot of trouble,\u201d Candice says.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Brooke smiles. \u201cYes, I can only imagine you getting so tipsy\nthat you bake cookies for all your neighbors.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWe all know Candice is a wild child,&#8221; Miranda states sarcastically.&nbsp;\u201cSoooo let\u2019s talk about her mystery drink.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWell, it\u2019s a sexy classic. Vodka, triple sec, cranberry juice, and lime juice.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Brooke yelps. \u201cThe Cosmo baby! But why does it look so red?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cHow much juice did you add?\u201d Miranda asks. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWell, cranberry juice is my main ingredient. I was running low on the lime juice\u2026\u2026vodka\u2026\u2026.and triple sec.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cSo, you\u2019re drinking a Cos-cranberry juice.\u201d Brooke snickered.\n\u201cYou should\u2019ve asked Randa for liquor, she has a whole distillery in her\nhouse.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Miranda playfully rolls her eyes.&nbsp;\u201cOr you could get it from Brooke. I\u2019m sure she has rewards points with all the local liquor stores. So, Brooke when are you planning on going swimming?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Brooke looked confused. \u201cWhen did I say I was going\nswimming?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI can\u2019t help but notice the snorkel mask right behind you,\u201d Miranda responds. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cOoooh, that. My ex left that here. Now I use it when I go\nout in public, you know, to keep me safe.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Miranda, already a little tipsy, belches out a loud laugh but quickly contains herself. \u201cBrooke, why don\u2019t you just wear a regular mask like most people? Instead, you are walking around ready to go deep-sea diving.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Candice giggles, \u201cBrooke is not most people.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cYa\u2019ll just mad because I\u2019m ahead of the game, just watch next month the news will tell everyone to wear snorkels,\u201d Brooke insisted. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Miranda continued laughing. \u201cI wouldn\u2019t bank on it, Brooke. Now can you show us your drink please?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWell, I will let you all guess. It has amaretto, simple\nsyrup, and lemon juice.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cPlease tell me it\u2019s not an Amaretto Sour again?\u201d Miranda\nquestioned playfully. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Brooke nods her head. \u201cAbsolutely, you know what they say\u2014if it\u2019s not broke you don\u2019t fix it!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWell, it may not be broke but it\u2019s time to retire it, sweetie.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Brooke and Miranda burst into laughter. Immediately after,\nCandice begins to sob. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cAww, what\u2019s wrong babe?\u201d Brooke asks. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cIt\u2019s just\u2026it\u2019s just that you all have made me feel so much better. Things have been so hard with Abby lately and this whole COVID-19 quarantine thing. I mean I know that it\u2019s affecting everybody, but I\u2019ve felt so alone. Just don\u2019t know what to do.&nbsp;I really miss you guys!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Miranda\u2019s eyes became glossy but never dropped a tear. \u201cSweetie, you are the best mother I know. You are doing all the right things. Just know that Brooke and I are here for you for whatever you need. We love you!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThat\u2019s right babe. We\u2019ve been through it all together. We\nwill overcome this like we have everything else.\u201d Brooke adds. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Candice dabs her tears with tissues. \u201cThank you besties!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Brooke blows a kiss at the screen.&nbsp; \u201cYou\u2019re welcome babe, never hesitate to call when you\u2019re feeling down.
