It helps <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lovehappensmag.com\/blog\/2020\/03\/22\/how-to-boost-your-immunity\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"boost our immunity (opens in a new tab)\">boost our immunity<\/a>.<font color=\"#191e23\"><span style=\"background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255);\"> H<\/span><\/font>elps us lose weight. Improves our <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"mood (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/www.lovehappensmag.com\/blog\/2018\/12\/21\/room-colors-and-moods-color-pyschology\/\" target=\"_blank\">mood<\/a>. Keeps our bones healthy and strong. Helps us grow our muscles. Improves our focus and productivity, and it helps our memory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When we don\u2019t get enough sleep, all of these aspects of our bodies, minds, and <em>lives<\/em> begin to suffer. Even as little as one night of poor sleep can hinder our wellbeing. Compound this with several nights of poor sleep and this also <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dawnstudy.com\/sleep-deprivation\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">increases our chances of snoring<\/a> dramatically, ekkk!&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The less sleep we\nconsistently get, the more pronouncedly worse we will feel. We have adapted our sleeping habits to be able to work the land, to work in the very first factories, to modern city life where the night no longer brings darkness and where we can do anything at any time \u2013 work and shop, sleep and eat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Yet it seems we have never actually been as careless with our sleep as we are now. Perhaps it\u2019s the constant availability of everything that is keeping us awake at night? We can do more\nthan ever before, but this ability is likely robbing us of precious sleep. And\nit\u2019s causing all kinds of harm to our bodies and minds as a consequence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Despite the fact that\nwe can choose to do more and sleep less, only when we choose to <em>apparently do less and sleep more<\/em> will\nwe actually be able to achieve what we are looking for.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Without sleep, our\nability to perform at the top of our game is compromised, so our work will\nsuffer. We will be moodier and our emotions will be all over the place, so our\nrelationships will suffer. Here\nare some of them:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Schedule sleep<\/strong> \u2013 Just like you would a meeting or a work-related task, add sleep to your schedule so you can\u2019t skip it.<\/li><li><strong>Invest in a better mattress<\/strong> \u2013 What you sleep on is incredibly important, so <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sleepadvisor.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">look into getting a comfy mattress<\/a> that suits your sleep needs.<\/li><li><strong>Cut out screen time<\/strong> \u2013 The blue light all screens emit <a aria-label=\"boosts the production of cortisol (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bioopticsworld.com\/home\/article\/16432707\/blue-light-exposure-boosts-stress-hormone-response-in-sleepdeprived-teens\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">boosts the production of cortisol<\/a> in our bodies, which effectively keeps us awake and makes it difficult to fall asleep. Instead of looking at one before bed, choose an activity that does not involve screens for an hour before bed: read a book, journal, or listen to some soothing music.<\/li><li><strong>Establish a routine<\/strong> \u2013 Our bodies like routines, so try to establish one that will signal to your mind that it\u2019s time to go to bed. Brush your teeth, do your evening skincare, put on some comfy PJs, journal, drink some tea, or warm milk. It\u2019s for this reason that the tips for improving sleeping habits have been created. If there\u2019s another habit to cultivate, it is seeing a doctor for sleep problems, especially if they have been persistent and have gotten in the way of daily work and life.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Common sleep disorders have available treatment methods.
