Since childhood, Zeynep dreamt of working in fashion. Throughout hard times and struggles in her life, she found that her shoes had a special way of giving her the power to pull through. She came to the conclusion it was her heels gave her a full-on feeling of power and confidence. So in 2017, she decided to use her love for art and share this powerful feeling with other women through Alz\u00faarr.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Zeynep attributes her power-woman mentality to her mother who serves as a huge inspiration to her. She believes that shoes can communicate and this is exactly what she has set out to do with Alz\u00faarr. A woman of pure ambition, just two weeks after the launch, Rihanna became one of the brand’s first customers–need we say more? Only that Jennifer Lopez, Beyonce, Nina Dobrev, Mary J. Blige, and many more of the world’s most stylish women love to wear Alz\u00faarr.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Love Happens: As our name, and the tagline of our publisher KOKET<\/a> denotes, at \u2018Love Happens\u2019 we are firm believers that you cannot achieve any level of success without love. When did your love affair with shoes begin? And how did it make you feel?<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Zeynep Dag:<\/strong> My love affair with shoes began when I was studying at the Art Academy. I was looking for a way to communicate through designs that I could relate to. At some point, I noticed that I was wearing heels a lot and that I was questioning why I was wearing them. I came to the conclusion, that the heels were giving me some kind of power and confidence. A feeling that I could do anything. That was the moment I found what and how I wanted to communicate. I love that I am able to communicate love.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lh: What empowers you?<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Zeynep: <\/strong>Short answer: Shoes. Where others view them as a protection for their feet, I see them as a metaphor for power. You can feel sexy in shoes, or self-conscience or confident. I feel like I can take on the world.<\/p>\n\n\n

Lh: What do you consider your greatest achievement?<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Zeynep:<\/strong> My biggest achievement, is that I was able to position Alz\u00faarr as an international brand within five years. We have clients all over the world. They order from the United States, Dubai, Russia, Paris, and more. I am very proud of that.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lh: Who is Zeynep Dag<\/strong> the Woman?<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Zeynep:<\/strong> As a woman, I am mostly being myself. I do what I want and design what I want. I can be extra, but I always stay classy and professional.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lh: Who is Zeynep Dag<\/strong> the founder of Alz\u00faarr?<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Zeynep:<\/strong> Zeynep Dag as the founder of Alz\u00faarr is a shoe designer, I prefer the term shoe artist, and an entrepreneur who thinks everything is possible. My designs are a reflection of this, they are unique designs as they have the nonbanality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lh: How do you empower other women?<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Zeynep:<\/strong> I empower other women by designing powerful shoes that people can use to show who they are. The shoes can be used for this as they individually all have a personality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lh: What three pieces of advice would you give to a young woman starting her career?<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Zeynep: <\/strong>My first advice is to do everything out of passion. Have love for things you do. That when you wake up in the morning, that you are happy and blessed that you get to the thing you are passionate about.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Secondly, do not be afraid. As soon as you have a feeling of being scared to do something and that is your reason of not doing something, you will never be able to be as successful as you could have been.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lastly, get a lot of experience before you start. I have done three studies and I have almost ten years of designing shoes. This resulted in a lot of knowledge about the profession and also a lot of confidence that I knew what I was doing.<\/p>\n\n\n

Lh: Do you have any mottos you like to live by?<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Zeynep:<\/strong> I have two mottos. Firstly, everything is possible. From that perspective, I make all my designs and you can also see this reflected in the shoes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The second motto is that there is no such thing as problem. When I started as an entrepreneur, there were a lot of obstacles that I had to overcome, that is part of the job. But if you see everything as a problem, then you will not be able to solve them. See them as challenges you can grow from.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lh: What\u2019s next for Zeynep Dag<\/strong>?<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Zeynep:<\/strong> I want to be in the top five shoe brands in the world. I want to open several boutique shops in cities like LA, New York, Dubai, and Qatar. Lastly, I want to have more collaborations with celebrities. But we have a lot in the works at the moment, so stay on the lookout.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
