Dior Supports Venice Biennale 2022<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

With a well-known passing for craftsmanship and artistry, Christian Dior put its support behind La Biennale di Venezia 2022. Running now through November 27, 2022, the 59th International Art Exhibition features 213 artists from 58 countries, making it a perfect collaboration for Dior. Titled The Milk of Dreams<\/em> and set at the Giardini and the Arsenale, the 2022 edition’s curator is industry expert Cecilia Alemani. Cecilia is the first Italian woman to direct the event. And she was sure to celebrate as many female artists as she could for the 2022 edition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Gala<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Dior\u2019s involvement at Venice Biennale 2022 is multifaceted. First, they held their second fundraising gala with Venetian Heritage, a philanthropic organization dedicated to preserving cultural treasures in Venice. Set at the Teatro La Fenice, the event took place on the opening day of the Biennale back in April. Designed to fund the restoration of the iconic Venetian Gothic architecture of the palazzo housing the Ca’ d’Oro Museum, the event was scaled back to a dinner out of respect for the victims of the war in Ukraine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Architect Peter Marino serves as the link between Dior and Venetian Heritage as the chairman of the nonprofit and longtime store designer for Dior. Venice is a mecca of design history that is well worth supporting and Dior has no intention of stopping any time soon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fabrizio Plessi Does Lady Dior<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

In addition to the event, Dior commissioned the 82-year-old video artist Fabrizio Plessi to reinterpret its Lady Dior handbag for Biennale 2022. The result\u2014a gorgeous work of art. Clad in 24-karat gold mosaic by Orsoni Venezia 1888<\/a>. And with a framed ‘Dior’ as though it is projected on water. The purse is on display at Dior’s boutique in Venice throughout the Biennale.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This collaboration begins the seventh edition of the Dior Lady Art project, consisting of limited-edition handbags designed by top artists. We can’t wait for more!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La Galerie Dior \u00e0 Paris, A New Mus\u00e9e de la Mode<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

This year Christian Dior opened a new chic hot spot in Paris, where you can find the best of haute couture and the history of this enormous fashion talent. La Galerie Dior it is a new building where you can find the most important art pieces of Christian Dior, and where you learn all about the designer’s life. La Galerie Dior lovers’ dreams can come true for hours!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Upon entering the gallery you find yourself in a stairway of color, with 1500 miniatures objects by Dior. This is a perfect emersion into the true haute couture house, where the dresses tell a story of the brand’s brilliant success.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The lights and scenography of the museum are the secret ingredients adding to the unforgettable experience created across 13 rooms. For the first time in Dior history, you can find croquis, original documents, original models, and a show of creativity in one place. “Through a unique scenography, La Galerie Dior bears witness to the visionary audacity of Christian Dior and his six successors: Yves Saint Laurent, Marc Bohan, Gianfranco Ferr\u00e9, John Galliano, Raf Simons, and Maria Grazia Chiuri.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
