What began with an unexpected pivot in 2013 from fashion boutique to a luxury interior consulting firm, Jaclyn’s passion for fashion allowed for a seamless transition to interiors. Where she once connected with retail clients and suggested outfits suitable to their personal style, she now chooses furniture and accessories that reflect her design clients\u2019 tastes and lifestyles. What is your idea of perfect happiness?<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

To me, perfect happiness is when I am at peace with the ups and downs that come with life. When I am able to calmly take on any obstacles that come my way, knowing that they will pass. Happiness to me is being able to stay in a positive\u00a0mindset even when there are bumps in the road, not letting the outside world change my vibrations or my energy.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What do you consider your greatest achievement?<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

My greatest achievement in my life is the family and home I have built. I have finally found a loving partner who I can have fun with, who I can rely on and trust in every way, and who is my best friend in the world. I have finally received\u00a0the family I have always dreamed of with my beautiful baby boy Rocco. And built a home that, when I am away from it, I am delighted\u00a0to come back home to. I always say that my home is more beautiful than any hotel I have stayed at!<\/p>\n\n\n

What profession does your alter ego have?<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

My alter ego is an opera singer! I received a scholarship for and studied classical singing at University, and I always have a secret desire to get back into singing in any way that I can!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The project you will never forget.<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Poucher Project is one of my favorite projects, as it is one of the first full home projects that we were able to have full creative control of from start to finish. We took a once neglected home and transformed it into an urban oasis with whispers of the \u2018coast\u2019.\u00a0The overall design includes details such as soft curves, fluting, a light colour palette, and the use of natural materials like cane and a subtle lime wash, lending a carefree, relaxed, and casual simplicity to the unique Toronto home.<\/p>\n\n\n

Your favorite business tool or resource.<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Instagram! I use Instagram for every aspect of my business\u2014to build my team, find suppliers, find inspiration, get clients, and more. I don’t know how I would have built my business without\u00a0it!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The most timeless design.<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

I would say that my own home is the most timeless design I have done. The balance of modern and classic features, antiques and contemporary pieces, sleek and organic\u00a0textures, and a neutral\u00a0palette create a canvas\u00a0that will never go out of style.<\/p>\n\n\n

The biggest design faux pas.<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

When lighting is an afterthought. Lighting is one of the most important aspects of a space, and bringing in as much natural light as possible in brings every space to life. Lighting changes the mood, and energy and even affects how the size of the space is perceived.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Your design motto.<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Better living begins at home.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our publisher KOKET makes statement d\u00e9cor; if you were to design a room around one KOKET<\/a> piece, which would it be, and why?<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

I love the organic texture, but luxurious impression of the Passion Sconce. I would love to create a rustic but minimalistic room and have this be the one statement piece in it.<\/p>\n\n\n
