Blending old and new, tradition and innovation, and art and design, contemporary Amish furniture brand Abner Henry’s AH x The Met collection is one to note.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The “Abner Henry x The Met Collection”<\/em><\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Each of the pieces in the collection took over three years to develop. A process through which Abner partnered with talented artists, designers, engineers, craftsmen, metal workers, and glass-blowing specialists to create the stunning final products using techniques that have never been seen before.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ernest Hershberger, CEO of Abner Henry, hand-selected each of the paintings from those hanging in the galleries of The Met. Works dating from the 17th – 19th century by the artists Edgar Degas, Gustav Klimt, Edouard Manet, Auguste Renoir, Georges Seurat, Vincent van Gogh, and Diego Rodr\u00edguez de Silva y Vel\u00e1zquez round out the seven selected. Ernest shares a deeply personal and spiritual connection to each of the works chosen, a passion clearly seen in his furniture creations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“This is an incredibly momentous collection for me that represents a journey of steadfastness and
resilience,\u201d says Hershberger. \u201cWe had a vision for the collection to defy traditional manufacturing
processes, and when we repeatedly got a \u2018no\u2019 or were told it can\u2019t be done, we pushed forward to make
it come to life, working with artisans who were willing to stretch their abilities to make the impossible,
possible. I wasn\u2019t going to let The Met down. Abner Henry\u2019s driving force is \u2018the relentless pursuit of
excellence\u2019\u2014and this collection is the embodiment of that ethos.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
