It&#8217;s actually been around for longer than you may expect! You need to roll the clock back to 2009 when the <a href=\"https:\/\/money.usnews.com\/investing\/articles\/the-history-of-bitcoin#:~:text=Bitcoin%20was%20the%20first%20cryptocurrency,identity%20has%20never%20been%20verified.\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">first cryptocurrency, Bitcoin<\/a>, came to be.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It probably doesn\u2019t come as much of a shock that <strong><em>when cryptocurrency first came onto the scene, it was met with skepticism and uncertainty.&nbsp;<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After all, we are so used to using fiat currency it just seemed unfathomable to switch to an alternative option.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>No one really started to take much notice of Bitcoin for a good few years. And, when people started to purchase crypto, it was more to hold onto it and make money.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>If you <\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.fool.com\/investing\/2021\/11\/16\/invested-100-in-bitcoin-in-july-2010-how-much-now\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><em>invested $100 in<\/em><\/a> Bitcoin back in 2010, well, let\u2019s just say<em> you\u2019d be one of the richest people in the world right now!<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-real-estate-was-honed-in-tradition\"><strong>Real Estate Was Honed in Tradition\u00a0<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Now, looking at the real estate industry, we can\u2019t argue that it\u2019s long been a traditional one.
