Moving around a lot in her early years, she enjoyed the process of creating and decorating each new space she lived in. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After earning a Communications and Media Studies degree from LMU, she switched directions and pursued her true passion for design. After graduating from the Fashion Institute of Design &amp; Merchandising, she worked for several of the top LA design firms. She spent some time backpacking internationally, and when she returned to the States, she landed in Austin, Texas, where she founded her design studio, KozyKasa, in 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kristin&#8217;s modern bohemian style blends chic, elegant simplicity with maximalist patterns and accent colors. Additionally, having a strong balance between work and leisure. I thrive when I make time for myself, whether that means setting aside time for self-care, exercise, or other activities\u00a0not related to my business.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-what-do-you-consider-your-greatest-achievement\"><strong>What do you consider your greatest achievement?<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Starting my own design firm! This has been a goal of mine since I was in design school; so seeing myself do what I always dreamt of is a surreal feeling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-what-profession-does-your-alter-ego-have\"><strong>What profession does your alter ego have?<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;have a couple! Either a pastry chef (I loooove to bake!) or something to do with animals. Jane Goodall is my muse and I could easily see myself studying wildlife in a past life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-the-project-you-will-never-forget\"><strong>The project you will never forget.<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Probably Cedar Park Chill. For one, these were some of the best clients I have ever had. They were renovating a home they had built for their family after their kids had all grown and started families of their own. With new needs for their home, we renovated the entire home to suit their new way of living. The age of social media and the internet in general has led to many wonderful connections with designers all over the country. There are Facebook groups that have provided so much helpful insight and tips into how others are running their business, I don\u2019t know what I would do without these connections!&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-the-most-timeless-design\"><strong>The most timeless design.<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Simple, clean, not overly cluttered, and an overall feel of classic. Timeless design to me is more about a functional space and one that stays true to the homeowner. You want your personality to shine through the style of your home so it feels like you. But, incorrect furniture scale if I had to pick. Pieces that are too large or too small for the space is the quickest way to make your home feel incomplete and just \u201coff.\u201d&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-your-design-motto\"><strong>Your design motto.<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Go bold or go home.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-our-publisher-koket-makes-statement-decor-if-you-were-to-design-a-room-around-one-of-their-pieces-which-would-it-be-and-why\"><strong>Our publisher, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bykoket.com\/?utm_source=lovehappensmag&amp;utm_medium=blog&amp;utm_campaign=design_questionnaire\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">KOKET<\/a>, makes statement d\u00e9cor. If you were to design a room around one of their pieces, which would it be, and why?<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Probably the Isabella stool. Fringe is life to me, I just love it!
