Meet the Renowned Designer Behind Britany Simon Design House

Creating timeless spaces can be challenging for many, but for Arizona-based Britany Simon, it comes easily—thanks to her refined, fashion-forward approach.
Britany’s interior design expertise began with her appreciation for it at a young age. She noticed how curated spaces with attention to detail and stunning decor can truly transform homes and their owners. Since then, she’s built her career from the ground up with a long list of clients and her eponymous design house.
Britany’s success has led to features in major publications and on popular TV shows on networks such as HGTV and Bravo. No matter the platform, she always instills that “great design is more than just beauty.” Her unique approach to prioritizing functionality and flow while enhancing one’s day-to-day makes her a visionary for modern homeowners.
Our team had the lovely privilege of connecting with Britany for our latest edition of Love Happens’ Design Questionnaire. Read on to learn more about her creative designs!

What is your idea of perfect happiness?
Perfect happiness, for me, is found in a beautifully aligned work-life rhythm. It’s having the freedom to be fully present for the little moments with my family… school drop-offs, spontaneous getaways, bedtime stories, and knowing that I’m not missing the milestones that matter. At the same time, it’s about creative fulfillment: collaborating with trusting clients who value our vision and allow us to push boundaries. That combination of personal connection and creative freedom is what fills my cup.

What do you consider your greatest achievement?
Without question, raising my children. Watching them grow into their own unique selves… confident, kind, and independent. That is the most rewarding experience of my life. No professional accolade compares to seeing your children flourish in who they’re meant to be.
What profession would your alter ego have?
If I weren’t in design, I think I would have thrived as an attorney. I love understanding all sides of a conversation, cutting through the noise to get to the truth, and if I’m being honest—I do love to win a good debate. There’s something deeply satisfying about advocating for something you believe in with logic, clarity, and conviction.

The design you will never forget.
It’s hard to pick a favorite from over the last 20 years as a designer, but our Trovita Place project will always hold a special place in my heart. The client pushed us to go further than we ever had, being more daring, more layered, more unexpected. The result is bold yet refined, colorful yet cohesive. It was the perfect storm of trust, creativity, and aligned vision. That’s when design becomes magic.
Your favorite business tool or resource.
Lately, Canva has become a go-to for our team. We use it to build out visual boards and client presentations, and it’s transformed the way we communicate our ideas. It’s intuitive, collaborative, and helps us move quickly without sacrificing aesthetics. It’s a designer’s dream when it comes to presenting concepts with clarity and style.
The most timeless design.
European-inspired architecture will always be timeless to me. That style carries a sense of history, craftsmanship, and soul. But beyond that, I believe that deeply personal design is the most enduring. When a space is an honest reflection of the people who live in it, it doesn’t age the same way trends do. It just gets better over time.

The biggest design faux pas.
Designing too closely to trends. While I appreciate a good moment, following trends too literally or too heavily dates a space faster than anything else. True luxury lies in individuality, and when your home feels like you, not like a Pinterest board from a particular year.
Your design motto.
If you’re not a little scared, you’re not growing. I always say that if I’m not slightly nervous on install day, it means I played it too safe. Great design should push boundaries. That tension is where the magic lives.

Our publisher KOKET makes statement décor. If you were to design a room around one KOKET piece, which would it be, and why?
One of my all-time favorite furniture pieces is the Olivia Leather Stool. It perfectly embodies the kind of tension I love in design… where modern edge meets classic elegance. The leather upholstery and large metal banded detail feel bold and contemporary, but then there’s the fringe detail… and I’m an absolute sucker for a fringe moment. That unexpected layer softens the piece and adds this whisper of old-world glamour. For me, it’s the epitome of what good design should be: a fusion of contrasts that somehow feels completely effortless and can work in any space we design.

Love happens when….
Love happens when you feel at home in your own skin and when your daily life reflects what lights you up inside. Whether it’s family, creativity, or purpose, love flows most freely when you’re connected to what feeds your soul.
