If any of you ladies are looking for a comfortable couture dress suited to wear when falling in love, then Alber Elbaz is your guy! Meet the creative director of the oldest couture house in the world, Lanvin.
As a fashion designer and a man Alber Elbaz is a perfectionist, control freak, and workaholic, yet he is also humble and modest (traits learned from his mother), sensitive, and deeply in love with everything that has to do with women. For his contributions to fashion design he has won several prizes including the CFDA’s 2005 International Designer award and later the esteemed Legion of Honour in Paris.

However, it is not within a biography that we like to think of Alber, but in the skin of women who enjoy wearing clothes that do not cover one’s personality or disguise character. Alber’s kind of ladies enjoy life in beautiful, comfortable dresses that let the feminine silhouette show through in whichever size or shape you have; dresses that enable women to shine beyond their clothes and not through them. It is not about trends, it’s about answering women’s desires, ambitions, and needs—it’s about empowering women.

“Fashion is important because it creates stories and dreams. And life is nothing without dreams.” (Alber Elbaz). Every collection designed comes from his own imaginary world where feminine characters come alive and inspire him to create the beautiful dresses they desire. It is with a story in mind that Alber starts designing each single piece. So, he always goes back to women because they inspire and guide him along the way.

As KOKET women, we are deeply honored to inspire Mr. Alber Elbaz, a dreamer and a ladies man who has forever imprinted his style in our hearts.
