Where to Dine During NY NOW: Best Restaurants in NYC
At KOKET we love NYC in the summer (actually we really love it in every season!) so we find every reason we can to visit! This August 19th – 23rd the semi-annual NY NOW trade show, the home, lifestyle, handmade and gift market for high sell-through products, is set to take place. So in preparation for our trip we put together a list of some of the best restaurants in NYC – a few of the cities many beautifully designed dining establishments offering fabulous food!
Riverpark
Farm-to-table American cuisine served in a dining room, patio and bar area composed of a rich material palette of white oak, French limestone, bronze and frosted glass by Bentel & Bentel. Set in a clean detailed high-rise building and overlooking the East River the restaurant also features two private dining areas making it the perfect spot for a casual lunch, business meeting or intimate evening meal!
Asiate at the Mandarin Oriental
A sleek and sophisticated Asian-New American hotel restaurant located on the 35th floor of the Time Warner Center with sensational views of the city and a high-end, fixed-price-menu. Designed by Tony Chi, one of the world’s foremost designers, the contemporary Asian-influenced restaurant consists of a neutral palette of whites and creams accented by our favorite color fuchsia.

Le Bernardin
Elite French restaurant offering chef and co-owner Eric Ripert’s refined seafood, expert service & luxurious decor. A Paris transplant in 1986 known for preparing the freshest seafood with the simple philosophy that the fish is the star of the plate. Le Bernardin and Ripert have a stellar reputation with three stars from the Guide Michelin, four from the New York Times, and more James Beard Awards than any other restaurant in the city.
Renovated in 2011 by Bentel & Bentel the restaurant’s gorgeous interior features luxury furniture in a warm, serene and sophisticated setting.
The Parlour at The NoMad Hotel
An elegant New American restaurant located in The NoMad Hotel. An inviting open hearth sits in the center of the Parlour where guests can observe the preparation of fresh baked goods. The restaurants stately dining room (and all of the fabulous NoMad Hotel) was designed by the famous French interior designer Jacques Garcia and features dark oak furnishings, richly textured fabrics and over 100 pressed antique herbs from the French heritage shop Deyrolle.
Vaucluse

A stylish brasserie with a distinctive New York vibe serving modern French cuisine, and provocative drinks in an alluring, vibrant setting. “Vaucluse is a celebration of the uniquely spirited Provençal joie de vivre.” The beautiful interior was designed by New York city-based design firm Meyer Davis who won a NYCxDESIGN Award in 2016 for their impeccable work.
ABC Kitchen
A chic New American eatery located at ABC Carpet & Home featuring chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten and locally sourced organic ingredients. The restaurant’s rustic atmosphere is the perfect match for its eco-friendly menu.
Buddakan
An enormous lavishly decorated restaurant located in the Chelsea Market of the Meatpacking District offering a menu of Asian dishes and cocktails. Conceptualized by French designer Christian Liaigre the space contains many seating areas throughout each with their own design twist. Liaigre’s masterpiece features Asian-inspired details, his own French heritage and many architectural elements creating an intriguing atmosphere. throughout.
Gabriel Kreuther
Cosmopolitan French cooking presented in an elegant, airy environment designed by Glen & Co. Architecture. Chef Gabriel Kreuther’s first restaurant located across from Bryant Park in Manhattan’s Grace Building. We especially love the restaurant’s cozy and chic bar design featuring green tiles and a sandblasted stainless-steel bar top meant to resemble pewter.
Jean Georges
A neutral elegant space in Columbus Circle’s Trump International Hotel & Tower with floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking Central Park and presenting chef and owner Jean-George Vongerichten’s best-in-class French cuisine.
