Ralph’s by Ralph Lauren
We all recognise the name and the clothes. Ralph Lauren is one of the most famous houses of high-end fashion, one of women’s dreams. Now, ladies, imagine if this combination passed on to the food department, creating a restaurant where the watchword is fashion: eat with style. And you ask, is that possible? Of course, Ralph Lauren has made it happen. The name is Ralph’s and it’s the new restaurant in Paris, the city of love, glamour and luxury. It’s the perfect place for a restaurant like this. Ralph Lauren’s Paris restaurant has been opened since 2010.
Well, with all these attributes, the KOKET team had to go there and see with our own eyes all the fuss – old and new – is about. With its dark wood panelling, hunting-themed paintings, animal-print pillows and leather saddles adorning the walls, the cosy interior gave us a gorgeous peek into what awaited us for the rest of the evening.
In this elegant, country club decorated, Ralph’s offers typical American dishes, such as steaks, burgers and Caesar salad, in an atmosphere which is chic but laid back and friendly at the same time. With 80 covers, including 50 seats inside the old stables of this mansion, all those who are fans of new culinary sensations will be making a beeline for this recent addition to the gastronomic landscape of Paris.
The specialty of Raph’s are classic American dishes like fried chicken, fillet of beef, ranch steak, grilled lobster, sweet pea soup and the club sandwich and, the best menu, burgers, made from pasture-grazed, hormone-free beef from Lauren’s own Colorado ranch. Tasteful as the interior is, the ambiently lit patio is the crown jewel of Ralph’s. The wrought-iron tables are outfitted with white tablecloths, fresh flowers, candles in delicate hurricane lamps, and plush cushions—all surrounded by topiaries, lush trees and budding flower bushes. Raph’s restaurant is an extension of Ralph Lauren’s comfortable but chic old-money American fashion brand. It was an awesome experience, certainly to repeat.
