Mario Testino Shows His “Extreme” Photography
Iconic photos and an unique style define this renowned portraitist and fashion photographer. Paris was the place chosen to have his first solo exhibition at the Yvon Lambert gallery.
Pop culture is made of his work: a Burberry campaign with Sienna Miller, a Michael Fassbender smoking in GQ,the June over of British Vogue with Kate Upton and also his celebrity portraiture.
His 20-year career is now presented at this show entitled ” Extremes”, in the words of the gallery’s general director, Olivier Belot,“it can be a little too much, done in the most beautiful way.”
Several personalities went to the opening on the 6th of June where you can see two different gallery spaces: one is a new edit of some of his most iconic images with some nudity and some chocking and unique images that defined his work, the other part, is “Alta Moda Series”, which feature ethnographic portraits of Peruvian women wearing traditional festive attire from the mountainous region of Cusco.
