Valentino’s Store on 5th Avenue
If you were last Friday shopping on 5th Avenue in New York City doing your Black Friday shopping, you probably saw on of our new favorite store. The new Valentino opening was in August and the design and architecture in it are filled with passion and simplicity in order to make the clothes the stars at the store.
Each space offers a distinct atmosphere generated by a custom palette of colors, textures, and light. The display of the products is simple and well organized so it will be easier for you to search for a certain item or just walk around the 20.000 square store.
The New York hottest store right now was designed by David Chipperfield Architects and the innovative store concept developed by Creative Directors, Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli.
“Valentino has identified architecture as the idea for the interior whereby architecture is brought into the store in a process that reduces the superficial decoration by steering away from the use of panelling — an approach that privileges concreteness over shallowness” said Chipperfield in a statement.
The architecture makes a good use of a range of materials (grey Venetian terrazzo with Carrara shippings, timber, marble, leather, carpet and carbon fibre) subdued in color to focus attention on the collections and also evoke a sense of intimacy.
We hope you enjoy the outstanding store interior design and the latest collection from the great fashion designer Valentino Garavani. Good luck on your fashion shopping and remember to buy everything you love because fashion love happens at first sight.
