Whimsical Dutch designer Marcel Wanders teamed up with Cybex to create the Parents collection, a series of imaginative yet contemporary kids furniture designs. Designed after the original “Monster Chair”, the kid’s version features a more stimulating and colorful style of the monster face, embroidered into the quilted leather seat of a high chair, rocker and/or bouncer. The collection also includes a mountable storage pig with hollow belly to hide toys after playtime, and monster hand puppets displaying the designer’s artful faces.

Circu’s magical furniture aims to inspire kids imagination.
Portugal based luxury kids design company, Circu dedicates the entire brand to creating kids furniture that inspires creativity and living out fantasies. Their magical line includes kids bedroom furniture and décor, like kids beds, seating, lighting and accents. Their over-the-top enchanting kids beds designs are unique and admirable playing on children’s whimsical heartstrings with designs such as a little mermaid clam shell, a fantasy air balloon and a vintage VW bus (not to mention the rocket ship armchair). A notable design is their “Cloud Lamp”, a fluffy cloud suspension lamp that can play music and change colors.

Kartell
The H Horse designed by Nendo was inspired by construction H beams.
Italian design brand, Kartell launched their first kids furniture collection at this year’s Salone del Mobile featuring collaborations with international designers like Nendo, Philippe Starck and others. The result is a collection of fun and innovative plastic furniture designs in pastel hues and pops of color. The “H Horse” by Nendo is a minimalist approach to the classic rocking horse modeled after H beams used in construction. The “Lou Lou Ghost” chair by Philippe Starck, a kids version of the “Louis Ghost”, teaches tiny ones how to maneuver an adult chair while coming in fun colors and the ability to be customized.
The FL/Y lamp and Lou Lou Ghost chair both have the option to be customized with drawings or images.
