Team Building With KOKET Furniture: Inspiration Shines at Brand's Annual Meeting

Team Building With KOKET Furniture: Inspiration Shines at Brand’s Annual Meeting
Surrounded by the ornate architecture and majestic beauty of an 18th-century baroque palace turned luxury hotel, KOKET’s highly talented and deeply passionate employees gathered for their annual team building meeting during the first week of August and empowerment and inspiration filled the air!
Set on the enchanting banks of the Douro river outside the Portuguese city of Porto and not far from KOKET’s headquarters, the Pousada do Porto, Palácio do Frexio Hotel exudes design inspiration making it a perfect setting for KOKET. Of course, the fact that the luxury furniture brand’s stunning Intuition table graces the hotel’s lobby doesn’t hurt either! A perfect setting for a day-long event designed to analyze the brand’s year to date, promote creativity, boost company morale and create a better more focused team.
The Meeting
The morning was all about business as each department head presented the results of the semester and their goals for the remainder of the year. This portion of the meeting consisted of some essential components of team building – cross-company transparency (knowledge of the company as a whole, not just your department), and feedback and accountability (sharing goals with the group invites feedback and creates accountability).
The afternoon was all about inspiration – another key component to effective team building! During this section of the event, KOKET invited five women who share the brand’s mission and values to speak.
KOKET’s Founder & CEO Janet Morais
The following four guests were past employees and close affiliates of the brand who shared their experiences working at KOKET and how that influenced them in their future endeavors.

Sara also has a passion for writing and has written beautiful articles for both Volume 1 and Volume 2 of Love Happens print editions! Check them out here:

She is currently planning to create an ONG in Portugal focused on Feminism.
MARIANA REIS
Mariana works at MDG where she sells KOKET to the Middle East. As one of KOKET’s top markets, Mariana had wonderful insights on client expectations in her region.
The last speaker never worked for KOKET but had lots of wonderful insights about managing client expectations. A crucial piece of the high level of customer service offered by KOKET.
SARA VAGARINHO
Sara never worked at KOKET, however, she shared many similar experiences while working at Virgin Gyms. She is currently the manager of the Corso Commo Milan gym, where she receives top clients daily.
After hearing from these five inspiring women the KOKET team was most certainly feeling empowered! To close the event the KOKET’s first class of interns in the new KOKET – Love Happens internship program presented a video on KOKET’s internship and shared their experiences during the past few months.
And of course what KOKET event would be complete without Koktails!
If you are looking to create a passionate team of employees and inspire them to be the best they can be, take note from this KOKET event and the brand’s stylish, bold and ever inspiring founder and CEO Janet Morais. No man is an island and without a solid team, happy clients and thus truly rewarding success is impossible. Team building events such as this are essential!
