Read on for a few of our favorite looks from fashion extravaganza and a bit of our commentary on Gucci’s Fall 2019 show…love, hate, art, too much? We are talking so whatever your take on it was, they certainly created a wave.
At Lh we love the art of fashion, but couldn’t help but be a bit put off by Gucci’s Fall/Winter 2019/20 presentation at Milan Fashion Week. Spikes, face-obscuring masks, large metal jewelry covering ears and eyes. An elliptical show space with mirrored floors, seats and ceiling, half in darkness and half in brilliant lighting. Vicious dogs growling followed by religious chants flowing into your ears. Can you imagine yourself there? To some a wholly offensive scene. While to others the symbolism of Alessandro Michele’s art intrigued and delighted. Masks concealing and revealing identity just as clothes do. Defining and defending us.
