Plant Seven’s lineup is surely blossoming: With “Beyond the Mask: Storytelling in Black Art + Design” members of Black Artist + Designers Guild will collaborate on an exhibit to overturn myths and stereotypes used to undervalue blackness in art and design. This exhibition traces the impact Black aesthetics and identity on the world of design, exploring the enduring influences of Black pre-colonial African empires to the rebellion that birthed the Diaspora.
