Love Happens in Times Square at the Aliz Hotel
Staying in an award-winning hotel in the heart of New York City, Times Square, is truly a dream come true. Aliz Hotel opened in October 2018 with some of the best views of the city’s iconic skyscrapers. Just days before spending a night at Aliz I had the pleasure of staying at a renowned 5-star hotel, but I can honestly say that the Aliz Hotel ranks no lower! For me, it isn’t about one amenity that makes me want to experience and write about a hotel, I much prefer the overall history behind the design and the service.
The Vibe at Aliz Hotel
After walking through the revolving doors, the stunning black crystal chandelier hanging in the middle of the lobby instantly captured my attention. Right after that, my eyes went straight to the chic looking bar to the right. Modern black, white and marble are the key ingredients in the lobby design, however in stark, yet welcomed, contrast, the back of the first floor of the Aliz Hotel is a family-friendly, midwestern restaurant. Tall, marble columns outline the elevators that take you to the guest rooms, rooftop bar, and a peloton studio.
Slide your card and arrive in your mirrored room. The same cobra leather covering the elevators covers the cabinets and the bathroom is hugged in marble. Just like the logo of the Aliz Hotel, the back of the beds is lit up with a dimmable option.
Complimentary Fiji water bottles sit in a mini fridge, snacks lay on top of the desk with a flat screen TV above. The view of New York City out the window is straight out of a movie. I never wanted to get up out of the king-sized bed after one of the best nights of sleep in a long time.
With a restaurant and bar on the 1st floor and a rooftop bar and lounge on the 40th and 41st floors, Aliz Hotel has a great selection of food and drinks. Farm to Burger is a Midwestern restaurant serving organic vegetables, local bread, and meat from small-producers. Offering breakfast, lunch, and dinner, there is really no need to go anywhere else for food.
On the highest floors of the hotel, James Bond vibes fill the spaces of two distinct bar and lounge spaces. Dear Irving on Hudson is the highest open-air hotel bar and lounge in all of Manhattan.
With chic decor and sweeping views of the skyline, Dear Irving on Hudson is the perfect place for a cocktail. Or if you are at Aliz with the family visit during the day so all can enjoy the view.
A boutique hotel? In Times Square? Yes! If you’re looking for a full-on Times Square experience yet in a boutique space, the Aliz is a perfect choice. The plethora of excitement in Times Square, from shopping and dining and to sightseeing and some stellar people watching, surrounds the Aliz. No need to fight traffic to get from the excitement to your hotel while spending time in the big apple.
