Camp and Kitsch at Home: The Met Gala 2019 Theme in Furniture
According to Wikipedia “Camp is an aesthetic style and sensibility that regards something as appealing because of its bad taste and ironic value. … Camp art is related to—and often confused with—kitsch, and things with camp appeal may also be described as ‘cheesy’.” We saw the fashion industry’s take on camp at the Met Gala 2019, which led us to think about what camp looks like at home.
