Located a few minutes away from Funchal’s Old Town, it has 352 guestrooms and suites, 11 room-spas, 226 apartments, 5 restaurants, 5 bars, a congress center, conference rooms, several pools and a huge rooftop with panoramic views of the Madeira Island.

This new luxury hotel also has a breathtaking ocean view, especially from some of its five pools, as well as unique gardens that blend the modern with the historic, extending the legacy of the Classic Savoy hotel.
Above all, the spa is one of the showstoppers: it is a 3,000 sq labyrinth which takes its inspiration from the local Laurissilva Forest. It includes a Turkish Bath, halotherapy room and a champagne bar.

The Design
Savoy Palace was designed by Nini Andrade Silva with RH+ Architects. The project took inspiration from the surrounding landscape, culture, fauna, and flora of Madeira Island. It has also a focus on the Belle Epoque period. Local artisans from all over Madeira have created unique pieces of furniture, paying a heartfelt tribute to Madeira’s natural treasures. Flowers blossom everywhere and the main colors are pastel and nudes, to give the opportunity for natural light to illuminate the space.
