Inside the Goodman’s Bar and Bistro

It’s official: the iconic shop Bergdorf Goodman has just opened its new luxury bar and restaurant. Located inside the Men’s Store, the new Goodman’s Bar is led by the Michelin-starred chef Austin Johnson. The menu features a curated selection of French dishes, with a contemporary twist.

The menu is to die for including housemade tagliatelle with white truffle and Parmesan, or seared scallops with salt-baked celery root. Alongside this amazing chef, is, of course, the master sommelier Dustin Wilson. He creates a unique selection of cocktails, wines, and spirits. The amazing list of drinks includes the signature “Goodman’s Manhattan”. It is composed of Templeton Rye, Carpano Antica, and Hella aromatic bitters and the “Oaxacan Mary”. You should definitely go there to try this!

Inside the Goodman’s Bar and Bistro
The space exudes an incredible classical cool vibe, that seems like a chic Parisian Brasserie. With an Art Deco Opulence, the marble tones and gold accents dominate. Alongside with decorative lighting, wingback chairs, and amazing tiles inspired by European cities.

The lighting is by New-York based design studio Apparatus. The dining room is furnished with vintage Franz Schuster chairs, backgammon tables and wingback chairs by Tom Dixon.
As this is a classic bar inside a luxury shop, the uniforms couldn’t miss. They collaborated with denim guru and artisanal up-cycler Maurizo Donadi of Atelier & Repairs to create a Goodman’s look. The uniform is vintage denim matched with chambray pockets.
The Bar will remain open with the same schedule as the store: From 10 am to 8 pm from Monday through Saturday. On Sundays, it will be open from 11 am to 7 pm.
