Eddie Maestri

A native of New Orleans, Eddie Maestri started designing homes in Dallas in 2004 and officially founded Maestri Studio in 2008. With a knack for attention to detail and building strong client relationships, Eddie delivers truly custom architecture and design that is tailored to his clients’ styles and needs. With a deep appreciation for design, his work is often influenced by the grand, yet approachable, architecture of his home town, the clean lines and patterns of mid-century design, and his exposure to faraway places through his love of travel. On each project, Eddie guides his team throughout the process while encouraging a collaborative approach with independent and innovative thinking.

A Peek Inside the Fabulous and Inspiring Mind of Eddie Maestri with the Lh Design Questionnaire

What is your idea of perfect happiness?

In a comfortable space, surrounded by the people I love, with things that inspire my creativity and remind me of good memories, and ideally with a sketch pad 🙂

What do you consider your greatest achievement?

My kids of course….I have always wanted to be a dad. But that aside, my greatest achievement is Maestri Studio. I started from scratch and built a dynamic business with an amazingly talented team.

What profession does your alter ego have?

Jetsetting traveling artist.

The project you will never forget.

Our Santa Clara project. I loved every minute of working on this project. The clients were amazing and they gave us full freedom to do what we thought was best for their home.

Your favorite business tool or resource.

Trusting your gut.

The most timeless design.

It never hurts to look to the past for timeless design inspiration. I love some good wall picture framing details…arches, and simple classical columns.

The biggest design faux pas.

Matchy Matchy decor.  I am against anything really that is “a set”.

Your design motto.

It’s never finished. Design with what you have available, but don’t be afraid to edit and change things out as you collect and broaden your reach.

If you were to design a room around one KOKET piece, which would it be, and why?

I absolutely love the Egoist Mirror (Not sure what that says about me, ha!). The Art Deco design, the scale, and the hand detail remind me of some of the design inspiration I brought back from San Miguel de Allende. I love the smoked mirror…. a super sexy look. 🙂

Love happens when…

You trust yourself enough to be you.
