The Lh Design Questionnaire
with Jessica Davis, founder of JL Design
What is your idea of perfect happiness?
Listening to my kids laugh in the next room while I paint my nails and sip champagne.
What do you consider your greatest achievement?
My two boys are Valor (9) and Lincoln (8). They are so much cooler than I could ever be.
What profession does your alter ego have?
My alter ego writes and illustrates children’s books.
The project you will never forget.
“Urban Empire.” This was the first time a client let me do “my thing”. She was really open and let us have fun! I loved that process and the outcome!

Your favorite business tool or resource.
My tape measure!
The most timeless design.
Neutral elements and classic features with pops of color are what I consider the most “timeless”.

The biggest design faux pas.
Hanging art way too high.
Your design motto.
Target dress with Jimmy Choo shoes 🙂
Our publisher KOKET makes statement décor, if you were to design a room around one KOKET piece, which would it be, and why?
I’m in LOVE! It would definitely be the Mademoiselle Armoire. I love butterflies, and this piece is such a dramatic focal point that makes me have them myself! I would place this in a red lacquered dining room or a moody primary bedroom with lots of emerald green velvet.

Love happens when…
when you open your eyes.
