What is your idea of perfect happiness?
Perfect happiness comes on a Saturday morning, snuggled on the sofa with my family, daughter in my arms, a coffee in my hand, and the morning sun filtering through the family room window. Given our busy everyday lives, those moments we get to all be still are just perfect.
What do you consider your greatest achievement?
Like most entrepreneurs, I am constantly moving the goal post. I can’t say for certain what my greatest achievement has been. Once each milestone is reached, I create another one. I could say that growing up in a very small rural Midwest town and then moving to New York City to study Interior Design was my greatest achievement. Or moving to a new country with no connections and landing that first interior design position was my greatest achievement. Fast forward 10 years after migrating to Canada, taking that leap, and starting my own Interior Design firm was my greatest achievement. Honestly, I look back on my career and feel as though each achievement was the greatest at that moment … until the next one. Even though I’ve been in the industry for over 15 years, I feel like I am still just getting started!

What profession does your alter ego have?
I am deeply competitive in nature. My alter ego would be a professional athlete and continuing my athletic career after university!
The project you will never forget.
This custom home was made for entertaining and endless family gatherings! I love the minimal design and the warmth of all the spaces. Custom millwork lines almost every wall! We layered a collection of luxurious materials from leather wrapped drawers, natural marbles, rift cut oak, lacquered panels, and textured metal mosaics.

Your favorite business tool or resource.
We have been using Instagram more and more to find new bespoke fabricators, new products, and artists.
The most timeless design.
A design that thoughtfully pulls details from different styles.

The biggest design faux pas.
I think leaning into any trend is a major faux pas. We are all about clean, tailored interiors that don’t necessarily fit into one ‘style’ category.
Your design motto.
It’s all about balance. I can confidently say that is my motto for life!
Our publisher KOKET makes statement décor; if you were to design a room around one KOKET piece, which would it be, and why?
I would design a room around this Ribbon Console! It is absolutely a showstopper, so sculptural, luxurious, and beautiful from every angle. I can see this piece in many different types of homes.
Love Happens when…
You least expect it.
