Milan Design Week 2026

First Stop: SALONE DEL MOBILE.MILANO 2026

On its 64th Edition, the Salone del Mobile.Milano fair comprises of seven different exhibitions spread over the various fairgrounds at Fiera Milano Rho. Following the 2025 human-centric theme, “Thought for Humans,” this year’s theme is “A Matter of Salone”, exploring both the physical and symbolic origins. The event’s unique exhibitions include Salone Internazionale del Mobile, the International Bathroom Furnishing Exhibition, Workplace 3.0, S.Project, the biannual EuroCucina/FTK – Technology sector, SaloneSatellite, and two new additions this year, Salone Contract and Salone Raritas. We are so excited to see what fair president Maria Porro and her team have masterminded for this year’s event!

Inside the 2026 Exhibitions

The main focus of the upcoming Salone del Mobile.Milano edition will be “What meaning can design take on today? The answer, both visual and conceptual, has its roots in matter, understood not only as a physical substance, but as an origin, a memory, a possibility to be activated. It is no longer just a question of form or function: it is a process by which what is tangible is transformed into value. Matter, in fact, is matter, but also what matters, what generates meaning,” says the show site.

Read on as we explore some of our favorite brands across the fair. And give a special shout-out to SaloneSatellite, a section dedicated to talents under 35, with the theme “Craftsmanship + Innovation”. A must on your browsing list. As is EuroCucina/FKT-Technology for the Kitchen, the biennial international kitchen exhibition taking place during the 2026 edition.

With thousands of products, Salone Internazionale del Mobile and the International Bathroom Exhibition offer a range of goods that combine quality and technology, shaped by the creativity of leading design companies, who each year share their innovative products and home furnishing solutions.

Moreover, Workspace 3.0 is a think tank devoted to design and technology in workspace planning. S. Project makes its debut with its space focused on design products and decorative and technical interior design solutions.

New this year and not to be missed are Salone Raritas, Salone Contract, and the installation “Aurea, an Architectural Fiction”. We cannot wait to see Salone Raritas, a project curated by Annalisa Rossa featuring an exhibit designed by Formafantasma, where limited-edition design, one-offs, and high-creative manufacturing shine. Another must-see for us is “Aurea, an Architectural Fiction” by Maison Numéro 20, the Paris-based studio founded by Oscar Lucien Ono. Described as an “immersive narrative installation that rewrites the codes of luxury and hospitality as a theatrical and sensory experience”. The exhibit will sit at the heart of “A Luxury Way”, the pathway from Pavilions 13-15.
