Meet the Passionate Founder Behind Melissa Roberts Interiors

In the world of interior design, it can be difficult creating spaces that feel timeless yet embrace fresh trends. But this is no issue for longtime designer, Melissa Roberts—the founder of Melissa Roberts Interiors.
Based in The Woodlands, Texas, Melissa utilizes organic textures, earthy tones, and breathable materials to craft warm interiors tailored for busy families. With her thoughtful approach, Melissa creates spaces that are not only elevated and stylish but deeply personal. Her designs showcase that beauty and functionality can coexist.
Originally a registered nurse, Melissa’s skills are self-taught through extensive research, hands-on experience, and her determined drive. As she runs her business full-time, she prioritizes meaningful relationships with her clients in order to truly transform their homes into comfortable sanctuaries for modern living.
Our Love Happens team had the privilege of chatting with Melissa for the latest edition of the LH Design Questionnaire. Read on to learn about her creative insights and favorite designs yet!
LH Design Questionnaire with Melissa Roberts of Melissa Roberts Interiors

What is your idea of perfect happiness?
Exploring the world, experiencing both new and old architecture, seeing how other families live, and drawing inspiration from the history all around us is my perfect idea of happiness.
What do you consider your greatest achievement?
Building a business rooted in beauty, integrity, and purpose, which are values that guide every decision I make and are present in every space I design.

What profession does your alter ego have?
My alter ego would be a professional traveler, exploring five-star resorts around the world and enriching myself in new cultures and experiences. Along the way, I’d share my faith and the joy that it brings!
The design you will never forget.
Renovating my own home that probably was better off bulldozing and starting over. We took this home down to the slab and rewrote the entire plan.

Your favorite business tool or resource.
The living world around me. When I travel to Europe, I come home more inspired and motivated than ever. We have been blessed to live in a beautiful world that provides all the inspiration we need.
The most timeless design.
In my opinion, timelessness is subjective. Everything tends to come full circle eventually, in some shape or form. Designing your home to reflect your personality and the pieces you love is what truly makes it timeless.

The biggest design faux pas.
Following Instagram trends and under-scaled furniture.
Your design motto.
Refined spaces, rooted in nature.
