Christin Dior first became famous for his “New Look” collection. In 1974, with this collection, he brought a new idea of luxury to post-war Paris. He became very popular for his structured dresses, luxury fabrics, and elegant silhouettes. Moreover, today the luxury fashion brand, Dior, continues to be a global influencer.

Described by the Wall Street Journal as “an epic enterprise . . . timelessly elegant yet avant-garde.” The Dior: From Paris to the World exhibition in Dallas is presented by PNC with leadership support provided by Nancy C. and Richard R. Rogers.

With more than 70 years of legacy, this exhibition explores the history and founding principles of Dior. It features a selection of more than a hundred couture dresses, accessories, jewelry, photographs, original sketches, runway videos and other materials that trace the history of the iconic fashion house.

In addition, the Dior: From Paris to the World exhibition features dresses that were designed in partnership with Dior, including Yves Saint Laurent, Marc Bohan, Gianfranco Ferré, John Galliano, Raf Simons, and Maria Grazia Chiuri, who helps carry Dior’s vision into the 21st century.

In 2016 Maria Grazia Chiuri became the creative director of Dior. The first woman to take the lead, Chiuri has brought a beautiful and contemporary feminist touch to the brand!
