Fashioning Masculinities: The Art of Menswear at The V&A
March 19–November 6
At a moment of unprecedented creativity in men’s fashion and reflection on gender, this exhibition explores how designers, tailors, and artists – and their clients and sitters – have constructed and performed masculinity, and unpicked it at the seams.
Fifteenth Century Sculpture in Florence at The State Hermitage Museum
March 29–July 4
The exhibition presents splendid works of sculpture from the collection of the State Hermitage. Many of them have only very recently become the subject of research and publications, and some of the display pieces have never been exhibited before.
Gaudi at Musee d’Orsay
April 2–July 17
The Musée d’Orsay will host the first major exhibition devoted to Antoni Gaudí organized in Paris, France in fifty years for one of the Musee d’Orsay’s summer events. In an immersive museographic experience, it will show the spectacular creations of this unique artist, in particular, presenting sets of furniture never before exhibited in France.

Pharaoh of Two Lands at Louvre
April 27–July 25
In about 730 BC, the Nubian king Pianky conquered Egypt and founded the 25th Dynasty of Kishite kings, who ruled for more than fifty years over a kingdom stretching from the Nile Delta to the confluence of the White and Blue Niles. The most famous of those kings in the pharaoh Taharqa, and the exhibition highlights the importance of this cast kingdom, located in what is now northern Sudan. It is organized in connection with the Louvre’s archaeological campaign in Sudan, which focused for 10 years on the site of Muweis before moving some 30 kilometers northwards to El-Hassa, not far from the pyramids of Meroe.
“Guo Pei: Couture Fantasy” at Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco
April 16–September 5
The exhibition includes more than 80 ensembles from the past two decades, highlighting the designer’s most important fashion collections, shown on Beijing and Paris runways, including many designs that have never before been shown to the public.
“Women Painting Women” at Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth
May 15–September 25
Women Painting Women is a thematic exhibition featuring 46 female artists who choose women as subject matter in their works. This presentation includes approximately 50 evocative portraits that span the late 1960s to the present.
Feminine power – the divine to the demonic at The British Museum
May 19–September 25
How do different traditions view femininity? How has female authority been perceived in ancient cultures? For insights, the exhibition looks to divine and demonic figures feared and revered for over 5,000 years. From wisdom, passion, and desire, to war, justice, and mercy, the diverse expression of female spiritual powers around the world prompts us to reflect on how we perceive femininity and gender identity today.
Africa Fashion at The V&A
June 11–April 16, 2023
Spanning iconic mid-20th century to contemporary creatives through photographs, textiles, music and the visual arts, Africa Fashion will explore the vitality and global impact of a fashion scene as dynamic and varied as the continent itself.

Vision & Virtuosity by Tiffany & Co. at Saatchi Gallery
June 10–August 18
Tiffany & Co. announces today it is embarking on the next chapter of its “Vision & Virtuosity” exhibition, bringing over 400 objects from the House’s archives to London’s iconic Saatchi Gallery. A visual chronicle of the storied jeweller since its founding in New York City in 1837, “Vision & Virtuosity” takes visitors on a journey through everything from archival high jewellery designs, Tiffany’s famed window displays and its recently acquired Empire Diamond of over 80 carats to important relics of popular culture such as the original script from Breakfast at Tiffany’s.
A Conversation with Judy Baca at The Getty

Renowned Los Angeles artist Judy Baca has been at the forefront of public art design and execution for over four decades, transforming the urban landscape with the help of hundreds of community participants. In conversation with curator Julian Brooks, Baca reflects on some of the public mural projects she has led, with an emphasis on their evolving preparatory processes and questions around preservation.
Azzedine Alaïa: The Art of Fashion
June 27–October 29
The Art of Fashion , SCAD FASH Lacoste offers the first exhibition dedicated to Azzedine Alaïa in Provence and a selection of outfits from the designer’s archives. Dresses or suits, twenty models representative of her career evoke the timeless aesthetic of Alaïa and celebrate her artistic accomplishment by tracing her legendary career

In America: An Anthology of Fashion at The Met
May 7–September 5
Men’s and women’s dress dating from the eighteenth century to the present will be featured in vignettes installed in select period rooms spanning ca. 1805 to 1915 such as a Shaker Retiring Room from the 1830s, a nineteenth-century parlor from Richmond, Virginia, a panoramic 1819 mural of Versailles, and a twentieth-century living room designed by Frank Lloyd Wright, among others.

London Fashion Week
June 11–June 13
London Fashion Week presented by Clearpay will take place from Saturday 11th to Monday 13th June 2022 as a digital-physical hybrid, showcasing both womenswear and menswear brands. The digital platform is freely accessible to everyone, industry professionals and global fashion consumers alike, showcasing digital content from the designers, enabling collaboration, and bringing together fashion, culture, and technology.

Platinum Jubilee: The Queen’s Coronation at Windsor Castle
July 7–September 26
In celebration of The Queen’s historic Platinum Jubilee in 2022, Windsor Castle will host a special display commemorating Her Majesty’s Coronation at Westminster Abbey on 2 June 1953. On display will be the Coronation Dress and Robe of Estate worn by The Queen that day. Designed by the British couturier Sir Norman Hartnell, the dress was created in the finest white duchesse satin, richly embroidered in a lattice-work effect with an iconographic scheme of national and Commonwealth floral emblems in gold and silver thread and pastel-coloured silks, encrusted with seed pearls, sequins and crystals.
Platinum Jubilee Display at Palace of Holyroodhouse
July 14–September 25
In celebration of The Queen’s historic Platinum Jubilee in 2022, the Palace of Holyroodhouse will host a display looking back at Her Majesty’s previous Jubilees. The display will feature outfits worn by Her Majesty on occasions to celebrate the Silver, Golden and Diamond Jubilees.

Platinum Jubilee: The Queen’s Accession at Buckingham Palace
July 22–October 2
On display will be examples from the remarkable series of portraits taken by Dorothy Wilding, that formed the basis of The Queen’s image on stamps and in British embassies across the world until 1971. Also featured will be The Girls of Great Britain and Ireland Tiara, which was a wedding gift to Princess Victoria Mary of Teck, later Queen Mary, on the occasion of her marriage to the future King George V in 1893.
