What is your idea of perfect happiness?
Balance. An accomplished professional life while being present as a mom, wife, and friend. Having the flexibility to travel so, I remain inspired for my clients and for myself.
What do you consider your greatest achievement?
Buying my Paris pied a terre, which had been a childhood dream.
What profession does your alter ego have?
Art gallery owner.
The project you will never forget.
Labor of love. My dear friends bought two condos that we combined into one to design a sprawling space of entertainment and shared laughter and memories perched in the Fort Lauderdale skyline.
Your favorite business tool or resource.
I love listening to design podcasts. It’s like having a whole community of friends who share the same challenges and impart insights and wisdom.
The most timeless design.
Balanced proportions and a neutral color palette.
The biggest design faux pas.
Design that’s not functional. Spaces that appear overly staged, environments that are only pretty with no side table to rest a drink, or pieces that feel too fragile. Homes are meant to be lived in.
Your design motto.
Commit to your vision. The design process can be long and arduous, and it can be tempting to give up on some challenging ideas halfway, but every time you commit to your final vision, it always pays off.
Our publisher, KOKET, makes statement décor. If you were to design a room around one of their pieces, which would it be, and why?
I would use this Temptation Bar Cabinet piece to design a decadent bar with an art deco vibe. Very glam, chic, and over the top.
Love Happens when…
you least expect it.
