Another tip is to choose a location that offers more open space areas instead of sticking to closed spaces. As well as planning properly and schedule tours ahead of time, in order to make sure to not come across any overly crowded places. And get vaccinated as soon as you can!

Alentejo
Alentejo is one of the warmest regions in Portugal, being also one of the most rural and picturesque places to discover. It is set in the south of the country, between the Tagus River and Algarve. It is bathed by the Atlantic Ocean, and has an extensive region of olive groves, creating a breathtaking view. The total population rounds about 705,000 people, being the most unpopulated region in Portugal. Furthermore, it represents one-third of Portugal’s land. In terms of beauty, culture, monuments, heritage, and architecture, it is heaven on earth. And we can not forget about the beautiful destination Comporta and Melides, with the best-untouched beaches and the most caring people. It truly is Portugal’s Hamptons. And without question one of the best summer travel destinations in Europe to visit in 2021.

Azores Islands

Preveza & Meteora
Next, Preveza is a city in the region of Epirus in northwestern Greece. Meteora, on the other hand, is a unique rock formation in central Greece that hosts one of the most outstanding complexes of Eastern Orthodox monasteries.
